Is the LDS Church Under Condemnation?
π Why the LDS Church Is Still Under Condemnation
A Wake-Up Summary
“Your minds… have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received… even the Book of Mormon.”
— D&C 84:54–57
You and I didn’t come here to pick a fight.
But we did come to tell the truth.
The Lord said the whole Church was under condemnation.
That wasn’t outsiders.
That wasn’t "the world."
It was the Restoration.
And it still is.
1. π₯ The Source of the Condemnation
Back in 1832, the Lord spoke clearly:
Unbelief and vanity brought the condemnation.
And it came because the people treated the Book of Mormon lightly—
the very covenant God gave to anchor the last days.
And the consequences?
The United Order fell apart (D&C 104).
The name of Christ was removed from the Church in 1834.
Joseph Smith pleaded with God to restore His presence (D&C 109).
And Christ Himself said:
“If it be called in My name and built on My gospel, then it is My church.” (3 Nephi 27:8–10)
When the name and the gospel were both compromised…
so was the authority.
2. π Forgetting the Book of Mormon
“Remember” doesn’t mean just read.
It means live it.
But let’s be honest. What the Book of Mormon teaches and what the Church now practices…
don’t line up.
Book of Mormon Teaching | LDS Church Practice |
---|---|
Trust not in man (2 Nephi 28:31) | “Follow the prophet” means leaders “can’t lead astray” |
Baptism of fire is essential (2 Nephi 31) | Rarely taught or experienced |
Innocent children need no baptism (Moroni 8) | Work for dead includes children |
Salvation is free, help the poor (Mosiah 18) | Tithing gates temple access |
Use riches to help others (Jacob 2) | $100B+ hoarded, little given |
Polygamy condemned (Jacob 2) | Justified via D&C 132 |
Forgiveness tied to helping poor (Mosiah 4:26) | Welfare replaces consecration |
Testimony comes by Spirit (Alma 32) | “Bear it till you believe it” culture |
Expose secret combinations (Ether 8) | Church avoids whistleblowing |
Heal with herbs (Alma 46:40) | Promotes pharmaceuticals |
Reject fine sanctuaries (Mormon 8) | Justifies lavish temples |
Defend liberty (Alma 46) | Compliant with mandates |
All are alike to God (2 Nephi 26:33) | Past racism contradicted this |
Infinite atonement (Alma 34) | Brigham taught blood atonement |
No oaths (Ether 8) | Blood oaths once in endowment |
This isn’t nitpicking.
It’s pointing out the drift—the falling away from what God clearly gave.
3. π Prophecy of Apostasy
The Book of Mormon saw this coming.
“If the Gentiles shall reject the fulness… I will take it from them.”
— 3 Nephi 16
Jacob 5 shows new servants being raised up.
D&C 101 confirms that God will gather His people another way.
1 Nephi 14 says the Church of the Lamb will be separate from those who claim authority but don’t obey.
This isn’t about anger.
It’s about alignment.
4. π€ The Path Back
We can’t fake our way out of condemnation.
It’s not a PR problem. It’s a heart problem.
To be free again, the Church must:
Repent of unbelief and pride
Return to the Book of Mormon—not just study it, but live it
Encourage every member to hear the Holy Ghost for themselves
Stop protecting false doctrine, money, and status
Try every teaching by the scriptures, not the speaker
“Try them by the scriptures. If they teach contrary, disfellowship them.”
— Joseph Smith, Times & Seasons
π‘ Conclusion: The Way Forward
Christ’s gospel was never complicated.
It’s faith. Repentance. Baptism. The Holy Ghost.
Then revelation, sanctification, and walking with God.
It’s never been about hierarchy.
And the longer we wait for the “Brethren” to fix it,
the longer we stay under the cloud of condemnation.
It’s time to awaken.
It’s time to repent.
It’s time to remember the covenant.
Not the one written in manuals.
The one written in the dust and the Spirit—
The Book of Mormon.
Let’s stop waiting for permission.
Let’s get on with Zion.
Let’s follow Christ—outside the walls, into the fire, and home again.
If you're ready to walk, I'm walking with you.
