LDS Temple Teachings in Comparison to the Nemenhah Temple Teachings
Seeing the Face of God — In This Life: A Comparison of LDS Temple Teachings and the Nemenhah Records
LDS Temple Teachings: Post-Mortal Vision
In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), the temple endowment teaches that seeing God comes after this life. Members make covenants, keep commandments, and receive ordinances to eventually return to God's presence in the afterlife. The experience of seeing God is symbolically portrayed, but it isn’t taught as something people should expect to happen while in the flesh.
Scripture like Moses 1:11 is often cited to show that seeing God is rare and reserved for prophets or for the eternities. The average member is taught to live worthily, keep their covenants, and hope for that experience after death.
Nemenhah Teachings: Face-to-Face Now
The Nemenhah records teach a very different idea: that it is possible to see the face of God in this life. Through righteousness, purity, humility, and alignment with divine law, a person can come into the presence of the Peacemaker. It’s not reserved for the next life. It’s a real, living promise for the here and now.
"And when they do this, I shall show myself unto them with great power. Then shall the restoration proceed again unhindered by pride."
— Second Book of Samuel, p. 129 (Nemenhah)
According to the Nemenhah, seeking God's face is not just possible—it's the natural result of a sanctified life. It doesn't require priesthood office, temple recommend, or secret rites. It requires purity of heart and spiritual diligence.

Conclusion
The LDS temple path focuses on returning to God after this life. The Nemenhah path teaches that we can walk with Him now. That the veil is torn now. That the Peacemaker is not hidden behind ceremony, but revealed in the broken-hearted seeker.
We are not meant to only hope for heaven. We are meant to bring it near.
“The people shall be locked in their minds as in a storehouse, and shall be convinced that they cannot approach the Peacemaker except it be through the hands of men.”
— Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:47–49 (Nemenhah)
