Let Jesus In. Wake up!

๐ŸชŸ Jesus at the Kitchen Window

A quiet reminder to open the door.

We Built the House

I’ve been guilty of it too—letting Jesus in, but only through the side window.
Never the front door.
Not because I don’t love Him. I do.
But I think somewhere deep down, I got scared of what might happen if I opened everything.
The old wounds, the stuff I was taught, the fear of getting it wrong again.
So I built walls.
Nice, spiritual walls.
And I let Jesus wave at me through the kitchen window.

He Doesn’t Fit the System

Religion likes to package Him neat—fold Him into formulas, dress Him up in conference talks and predictable prayers.
But Jesus doesn’t fit the system.
He didn’t then. He doesn’t now.
He broke bread with outcasts and called fishermen His friends.
He walked outside the lines and invited people to follow Him—not a manual.

That’s what I’ve been trying to say in my book.
This walk? It’s not a checklist.
It’s a fire.
It burns up everything that isn’t real.

The Limits We Inherited (and Some We Made Up)

We didn’t mean to box Him in.
But we did.
Maybe it was a church leader who said God only speaks to the prophet.
Maybe it was a parent who used religion like a whip.
Maybe it was just the slow wear and tear of disappointment.
But somewhere along the line, Jesus got shrunk down—
into a role,
into a routine,
into someone easier to manage.

But that’s not who He is.
And deep down, we know it.

The Prayer That Changed Me

Here’s what the Lord whispered to me one night, and it wrecked me in the best way:

“You’ve only known me through a cracked window.
But I’m standing at the door, son.
Will you let Me in—not just into your beliefs,
but into your pain?
Your doubts?
Your hidden places?
Will you let Me be all of Me?”

And my answer—finally—was yes.

That’s when the real walk began.

You Are Not “Not Enough”

For years I carried that ache—
“I’ll never be good enough for Him.”
I thought I had to earn His closeness.
Pray more, repent better, prove something.
But all He ever wanted was my heart.
Not cleaned up.
Not dressed up.
Just surrendered.

You’re not too broken for Him.
You’re not behind.
You’re not failing.
You’re the one He came for.

Peter Knew This Too

I used to read about Peter’s denial and feel sick inside.
Because I’ve been there.
Said one thing, lived another.
Ran when I should’ve stood.

But Jesus didn’t shame Peter.
He made him breakfast.
He asked him three simple questions that brought him back to love.
He restored him.
And He’s doing that same work in us.

Open the Door

If you’re still living behind a window, I get it.
But I’m telling you—Jesus isn’t content to wave at you from the yard.
He wants all of you.
He wants to eat with you.
Sit with you.
Walk with you.
And show you a Kingdom that no institution could ever contain.

The Only Prayer You Need Today

“Jesus, I renounce every limit I’ve ever placed on You.
Show me who You really are.”

That’s it.
That’s the first step through the door.
And He’ll meet you there.
