Behold… Who Hath the Ferrari?

πŸš— Behold… Who Hath the Ferrari?
πŸ—️ A journey into real authority, real peace, and the Rock of Revelation

πŸ•Š️

This post comes from a dear friend—and more than that, family.
She’s my cousin’s wife, and their whole household lives closer to Christ than anyone I know on this earth.
You walk into their presence and feel it.
Peace. Love. No guile. No contention.
They don’t preach it—they live it.

She wrote these words on her blog and gave permission to share them.
I only added a few thoughts here and there.
But I want you to read it all the way through.
Because if you’ve ever wondered who really has authority from God—this will flip everything right-side up.

🚘 The Ferrari Keys

Everyone’s talking about authority these days.

“Who has the authority?”
“Where is the priesthood?”
“Can we still trust the keys?”

But before we chase that train down the temple track—
Let’s stop and ask:

What is authority?

Is it a title?
A lineage?
A white shirt and tie with seniority?

Or is it something deeper?

She compared it to holding the keys to a Ferrari.
You can show off the keys.
You can rattle them and say, “I’ve got the real ones!”
But if there’s no Ferrari
If there’s no power
Then the keys are just a noise-maker.

That’s what we’ve got today.

A whole lot of noise.
But where’s the fruit?
Where’s the fire?
Where’s the healing, the revelation, the angels, the visions, the joy?

We say we’ve got the priesthood.
We say we’ve got the authority.
We say we’ve got the keys.

But if there's no power, then we might be waving around a keychain with nothing attached.

πŸ”₯ By Their Fruits

Jesus didn’t say,
“By their titles ye shall know them.”
Or,
“By their office ye shall know them.”

He said:

"By their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20)

Show me someone who casts out devils.
Show me someone who teaches by the Holy Ghost.
Show me someone whose life is filled with light, peace, and divine love.
That’s authority.

Authority is not a church trademark.
It is the presence of God flowing through a person.

πŸ›️ The Pharisee Problem

In the New Testament, it wasn’t the disciples arguing about authority.
It was always the Pharisees.

“By what authority doest thou these things?” (Matt. 21:23)

Sound familiar?

The ones obsessed with authority in Jesus' day are the same spirit that governs the obsession now.

And the two richest religious institutions on earth—Catholics and Latter-day Saints—both claim:
“We are the only way back to God. We have the authority. Come unto us.”

But Jesus didn’t teach that.

He said,

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)

🌱 The Rock of Revelation

When Jesus asked,

“Who do you say that I am?”

It wasn’t a doctrinal quiz.
It was a spiritual moment.

And Peter—by revelation—answered,

“Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”

Jesus said:

“Flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven… upon this rock I will build my church.”

What rock?
The rock of revelation.

You want authority?
You want power?

Then go to God.
Ask Him.
Receive revelation.
Then act.

πŸ‘‘ Not by Man

The scriptures say real authority…

“...cometh not by man, nor by the will of man, neither by father nor mother... but of God.” (JST Gen. 14)

And every time someone in scripture speaks with power and authority,
It’s because the Spirit of God was upon them.

Abinadi.
Alma.
Nephi.
Jesus.
They all taught, healed, baptized, and blessed—because God gave them the power to do it.

πŸ“– Read the Scriptures Anew

Here’s a challenge:

Go read every time the word “authority” is used in scripture.
Don’t skim it.
Let the Word pierce you.

You’ll find that true authority:

  • Comes from the Spirit of God

  • Is always tied to power, not position

  • Is given by revelation to those who seek and serve, not rule and reign

  • Is visible by the fruits of the Spirit, not institutional control

Jesus gave Peter the keys of the kingdom.
But what were they for?

To bind and loose—according to God’s will.
Not to control people. Not to dominate.
But to serve, to bless, to build up the body of Christ.

🧎‍♀️ Who Has the Authority?

Jesus does.
And the Father.

They always have.

And if you want it—you must go to Them.

Ask.
Seek.
Knock.

Let the light in.
Let the Spirit fill you.
Let your eye be single, and your whole body will be filled with light. (D&C 88)

πŸ•Š️ Final Plea

Don't stitch the veil back up.
Don't trade your birthright for a title.
Don't bow to keys without power.

Jesus is the Rock.
He is the Ferrari.
And He is the One giving you the keys—if you’ll turn to Him.

Will you?

“Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you… Sanctify yourselves... and the days will come that you shall see Him.” (D&C 88)

I stand in awe.
Not of men.
But of Him.
