The Untold Visits of the Risen Christ

He Came to the West — And Then the East

The Untold Visits of the Risen Christ

We’ve all read the record.

Jesus descends at the temple in Bountiful.

A voice pierces the darkness.

He shows His wounds. He teaches. He heals.

The Book of Mormon gives us that sacred window — 3 Nephi 11–28 — and we hold it dear.

But what if there’s more?

What if, after Bountiful…

…He kept walking?

What if He visited more sheep, just like He said?

“Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold… and they shall hear my voice.”

— John 10:16, echoed in 3 Nephi 15:21

Let’s walk with Him — through the Nemenhah lands of the West…

…and to the children of Corianton in the East.

Part 1: Christ in the West (Mentinah)

๐Ÿ“– Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm, Chapters 13–15

๐Ÿ—“️ After His resurrection

He came to the Nemenhah in the mountains.

They had fled the corruption of the Nephite nation.

They built a holy city — a temple in the heights — and lived by covenant.

When He came, they heard His voice three times, just like in Bountiful.

And then, He stood among them.

“Behold, I Am. I Am the Light and the Life of the world… Whosoever will come unto Me, I will receive.”

He taught:

  1. The Doctrine of Christ: faith, repentance, baptism, Holy Ghost
  2. That no man should set himself up as a ruler over another
  3. That the Holy Ghost (Haymehnay) will teach truth in the inward parts
  4. That all ordinances must lead us to see the face of God
  5. That Zion is not built by law or force — but by consecration, equality, and love

He spoke directly to their women, their stewards, their children.

He walked among them. He blessed the sick. He healed the land.

Just like in Bountiful.

But this time, the warning was sharper.

“Because you have been separated from your kindred, you have been preserved. But beware the voice of pride, for it rises even in temples.”

Part 2: Christ in the East (Corianton’s Descendants)

๐Ÿ“– Second Book of Tsi Muhayl, Chapter 8

Then He traveled East.

To a remnant that had been kept alive through the repentance of a man we once called Corianton — the son of Alma.

They thought he had once fallen, but now — his descendants kept the flame.

And the Savior came to them, too.

Here, the Lord didn’t just bless — He corrected.

“Ye do err in your ordinances. Ye have made them into things to be obeyed, but they no longer point to Me.”

He revealed:

  1. That women are stewards equal to men, and He Himself appointed them
  2. That ordinances must change hearts, not just patterns
  3. That false priesthoods would rise in His name, controlling and deceiving
  4. That in the last days, a remnant would rise again to restore the holy pattern

He said:

“Behold, I walk among you — but many see Me not. I knock at the door, but men prefer their meetings.”

Part 3: The Same Voice in the Book of Mormon

๐Ÿ“– 3 Nephi 11–28

It’s all there.

  1. He teaches His doctrine plainly: repent, be baptized, become as a little child
  2. He calls twelve disciples to minister
  3. He heals every one brought to Him
  4. He gives the Sermon at the Temple — echoing the Sermon on the Mount
  5. He institutes the sacrament, prays for the people, and weeps over their faith

But He also prophesies of what is to come:

“In the latter day shall the truth come unto the Gentiles… but if they reject the fulness… I will remember my covenant unto my people.”

— 3 Nephi 16, 20, 21

The Nemenhah Records are that remembrance.

๐Ÿง‍♂️

Part 4: Timothy’s Witness

๐Ÿ“– Tsihohnayah, Mohrhohnahyah, and others

We know of Nephi, Lehi, and Samuel the Lamanite…

But the Nemenhah Records introduce Timothy (Tsimohtl) — one of the Three Nephites, still ministering centuries later.

He:

  1. Testifies that the Savior visited more nations than are recorded
  2. Restores the holy order among the scattered remnants
  3. Warns of churches built for gain and control
  4. Pleads for the people to come unto Christ personally, not institutionally

“Come unto Him, not as a people, but as a soul… He is nearer than the veil.”

๐ŸŒฟ

What Do We Learn from All This?

That He came to all His sheep.

That He still does.

That His doctrine is always the same:

Faith. Repentance. Baptism. Holy Ghost. Come unto Me.

That true priesthood is not control — it is invitation.

That Zion is not hierarchy — it is oneness.

That He didn’t stop at Bountiful — He kept going.

And now?

“He shall again set His hand the second time to recover the remnant of His people…”

— Isaiah 11:11, also quoted in 2 Nephi 21, and echoed in the Nemenhah

He’s knocking again.

Not at a temple.

Not at a pulpit.

Not at a general conference.

At your heart.

Will you let Him in?
