Don’t Follow the White Robe—Follow the Voice
🕊️ Don’t Follow the White Robe—Follow the Voice
(Part 1 of “Wake-Up Hits from The True Remnant”)
💬 Warm Up
I love my brothers and sisters in the Church. Most of us are just trying to live good lives, raise our families, and stay close to the Lord. But if we can’t hear His Voice, we’re just guessing what He wants us to do.
Lehi saw it in his dream: a man dressed in a white robe who led him into a dark and dreary waste. The robe looked holy. It looked safe. But it wasn’t. The robe led to confusion. The Voice leads to life.
The iron rod in that same dream? That’s the Word of God—and not just words written long ago. It’s His living word, whispered to you daily, telling you what to do right now.
So here are 10 wake-up hits that have been hitting me hard lately. They’re not mine—they’re all in the scriptures.
1️⃣ Don’t follow the white robe—follow the Voice
Lehi said: “I saw a man, and he was dressed in a white robe… and as I followed him I beheld myself in a dark and dreary waste.”
The white robe looked holy, but it led into darkness. The Voice leads to the Tree of Life.
2️⃣ The iron rod is the Word of God—the Savior speaking to you daily
Nephi said: “Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.”
That means daily commandments, daily advice—His living voice in your life, not just the old words in a book.
3️⃣ The commandments of men come in manuals. The commandments of God come in whispers
“If ye will enter in by the way and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do.”
4️⃣ The Lord is still speaking—He never signed off at General Conference
“For he speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding… and he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
5️⃣ If you don’t hear Him, you’re just guessing what to do
“Press forward… and feast upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, and the Father will say unto you: Ye shall have eternal life.” (You can’t press forward if you don’t know where He’s pointing you.)
6️⃣ The only prophet you need to follow is Jesus Christ
Nephi said it straight: “That prophet of whom Moses spake was the Holy One of Israel.” Christ Himself is theProphet.
7️⃣ The Haymehnay never lies. Men do
The Haymehnay is what the Nemenhah Records call the Holy Ghost. It’s their word for “the whispering of the Peacemaker in your breast.”
They teach: “The Haymehnay whispers truth; it is the very Spirit of the Peacemaker. Men may err, but He shall not mislead.” (Book of Ahgohtl)
8️⃣ Stop looking for the One Mighty and Strong on a stage. He might be repairing fences somewhere
The Nemenhah laugh at the world’s obsession with titles: “The Peacemaker raises up the humble, and He hides His great ones from the proud.” (Book of Tsihmlayi)
9️⃣ Stop asking for signs. Start asking to hear His voice
Nephi invited: “Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.”
The Nemenhah add: “The Peacemaker’s voice is better than signs, for the sign may deceive, but His voice is sure.”(Book of Tsi Muhayl)
🔟 Christ won’t ask you how many meetings you went to. He’ll ask if you knew Him
The Savior warned: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord… and then will I profess unto them, I never knew you.”
Clayton Christensen said it perfectly: “When you meet Him, He will not ask you how many callings you held or how many meetings you attended. He will ask if you knew Him.”
The Nemenhah echo: “In that day, He shall not ask how you sat in the councils of men, but how you walked with Him in the councils of your heart.” (Book of Mohrhohnahyah)
❤️ Wrap-Up
I don’t want to be led by a white robe into darkness. I don’t want to just look religious. I want to know His Voice.
Take five quiet minutes today. Shut the door. Say, “Lord, what do You want me to do right now?” Then listen.
🙏 A Short Prayer
“Lord Jesus, help me hear You. Forgive me for trusting men more than Your Voice. Teach me to recognize the Haymehnay in my heart, and give me courage to do whatever You whisper. Amen.”
