π§Ί Start with the Socks – Holiness in Real Life
(Part 3 of “Wake-Up Hits from The True Remnant”)
π¬ Warm Up
Zion won’t just fall out of the sky one day. It starts with what we do in the quiet, ordinary moments.
If we can’t follow Him in the little things—helping someone, forgiving quickly, praying for a neighbor—why would He trust us with bigger things? Faithfulness in small things is what opens the door to greater light.
Here are 10 wake-up hits that bring Zion a little closer to home.
1️⃣ You don’t need a temple recommend to meet Jesus. You need a broken heart
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart.”
The Nemenhah: “The Peacemaker enters not into the house of pride, but He dwells with the lowly in spirit.” (Book of Mahnti)
2️⃣ Nephi killed Laban because God told him to. What is God telling YOU to do today?
Start asking every morning: “Lord, what would You have me do right now?”
“Go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded.”
The Nemenhah: “The Haymehnay will whisper, and it may seem a small thing; but great things are made of many small obediences.” (Book of Tsi Muhayl)
3️⃣ Start with the socks—sometimes holiness is just picking them up when He nudges you
Obedience isn’t just for “big” spiritual things. It’s about listening every time He prompts you, even in small ways.
The Nemenhah: “The Peacemaker delights in the little obediences, for these prepare the heart for great things.”(Book of Tsihmlayi)
4️⃣ Pray with your family like Zion is already here
Don’t just pray for Zion—pray as if you’re already living in it.
“Pray always, and I will pour out my Spirit upon your homes.”
The Nemenhah: “Let your homes be filled with prayer, and they shall shine in the night as if they were tents of light.” (Book of Ahgohtl)
5️⃣ Don’t let pride sneak into your daily life
The big test isn’t just avoiding public sin—it’s the quiet pride of thinking you’re better than someone else.
“Behold, are we not all beggars?”
The Nemenhah: “Tsiahn falls when a man thinks himself better than his brother; it rises when he lifts his brother higher than himself.” (Book of Tsihmlayi)
6️⃣ The Haymehnay never lies. Men do
The Haymehnay—the Nemenhah word for the Holy Ghost—means “the whispering of the Peacemaker in your breast.” If you can feel that whisper, follow it, no matter who disagrees.
The Nemenhah: “The Haymehnay whispers truth; it is the very Spirit of the Peacemaker. Men may err, but He shall not mislead.” (Book of Ahgohtl)
7️⃣ The only real endowment is when Heaven opens and you meet Him
“The veil shall be taken away, and ye shall see him face to face.”
The Nemenhah: “The true endowment is when the Peacemaker parts the veil and calls you His friend.” (Book of Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn)
8️⃣ Love the “least of these”—that’s how Christ measures Zion
He won’t ask what you built or how many meetings you attended.
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
The Nemenhah: “The Peacemaker asks not how you ruled men, but how you loved them.” (Book of Mohrhohnahyah)
9️⃣ Forgive quickly, even when they don’t deserve it
Zion isn’t made of grudges.
“Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.”
The Nemenhah: “Do not wait for your brother to ask forgiveness, for Tsiahn is built when the heart forgives before words are spoken.” (Book of Mahnti)
π You already have all the scriptures you need. Now find courage to obey them
“Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”
The Nemenhah: “Do not ask for more when you have not obeyed what you already have.” (Book of Ahgohtl)
❤️ Wrap-Up
Zion starts with simple obedience. It’s in how you love your wife, how you treat your neighbor, how quickly you say yesto that whisper in your heart.
You don’t have to wait for the City of Light to come down from heaven. Start with the socks. Start today.
π A Short Prayer
“Lord Jesus, teach me to live Zion right here, right now. Help me be faithful in the little things so I can be ready for the greater ones. Let my home be a tent of light where Your Spirit loves to dwell. Amen.”
