The Lie of Polygamy – And the Women Who Will Save Zion

❌ The Lie of Polygamy – And the Women Who Will Save Zion

πŸ•Š️ Joseph Never Preached This

Joseph Smith never taught plural marriage.

He called it an abomination, warning:

“For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none.”(Book of Mormon, Jacob 2:27)

The Joseph I know—the honest seer who translated this verse—would never threaten women with damnation for refusing another wife.

Polygamy didn’t come from him. It came later, in Utah—forced into the Restoration by men who loved power more than purity.

⚖️ The Law of Christ vs. The Law of Lust

Christ’s gospel is simple: Love God. Love others as yourself.

Polygamy trades women’s hearts for men’s pride and calls it “exaltation.”

Christ’s Zion is built on love, equality, and freedom.
Polygamy builds Babylon—wrapped in scripture, but full of sorrow.

πŸ“œ The “Raise Up Seed” Excuse—Twisted and False

Some teachers in the Church love to point to one verse in Jacob 2, where the Lord says:

“For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things.” (Jacob 2:30)

They twist this into meaning: “God sometimes commands polygamy to make more children.”

But think about it: The Great Jehovah can make children out of stones.
He created worlds without number; He breathed life into dust. He doesn’t need men to “collect wives” to help Him populate anything.

This verse is better understood as a one-time exception for raising up a righteous lineage in covenant—just as He did with Lehi’s family leaving Jerusalem. It was never a blanket approval for lust-driven plural marriage.

The Nemenhah prophets confirm this truth:

“The Lord needeth not the arm of flesh to multiply His people, for He is the Maker of all souls. But when men heap women to themselves, saying they do it for God, behold, they lie.”
(Book of Tsihmlayi 3:12)

πŸ‘£ Even the Patriarchs Were Corrected

Abraham and Jacob’s stories prove the same thing.

When they followed cultural traditions of multiple wives and concubines, it brought jealousy, division, and sorrow into their families.

But when God renewed His covenant with them, He changed their names—a sign of a higher, purer way:

  • Abram → Abraham (Genesis 17:5) after he turned back fully to God’s covenant.

  • Jacob → Israel (Genesis 32:28) after he repented and wrestled with God for a blessing.

The Lord does not seal broken patterns of the flesh into His everlasting covenant.

🌸 What the Nemenhah Records Warned

The Nemenhah prophets saw this coming:

“In the last days, men shall take the daughters of the people and call it holy, but it shall be a lie. Many women shall be silenced, and their tears shall water the ground. Yet through them shall Zion find her heart again, for the mothers shall speak with the voice of the Haymehnay, and the men shall listen.”
(Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:23–24)

And again:

“Where women are loved, honored, and heeded, there shall Zion flourish. Where they are silenced, the land shall wither.”
(Book of Tsihmlayi 5:18)

The women will save Zion.

πŸ‘£ Timothy Saw Our Day

Let’s pause here. Timothy—yes, that Timothy, the disciple of Christ who never tasted death—walks the earth even now.

He gave us the Nemenhah Records, and he saw our day.

He saw Joseph Smith rise with a pure heart and restore the fullness of the gospel. He saw the same gospel swiped away by another after Joseph’s death—twisted by a man who hungered for power more than Zion.

Timothy warned us in love, not anger:

“A man shall come forth after the Restorer, and he shall take the works of his hands and bind them in chains. He shall boast in his strength and shall teach commandments not of God. And the people shall follow him, for they are industrious and love to be commanded. But behold, it is not Zion.”
(Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:31–32)

And then—hope:

“The Lord loveth even those who err, for they are diligent in their works. Therefore, He shall bring forth the truth again, and they who hear His voice shall come out from among them and build Zion anew.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:33–34)

Timothy saw it. He saw you. He knew many would be born into this confusion, longing for truth, and that some would awaken and step out into the light again.

πŸ‘΅ A Family Story – The Hard Truth Behind the “Glory”

My great-grandfather was one of those good men caught in the confusion Timothy warned about.

He loved God. He even counted Martin Harris as a friend, hearing his deathbed testimony of the Book of Mormon.

But he believed the lie of polygamy.

He had three wives and 27 children.
The history books—written to defend the system—paint it as noble, almost heroic.

But my grandmother told the truth:

Two of the wives eventually left him, leaving my great-grandmother with nearly all the children to raise. Life was filled with hardship, poverty, and tears.

He was even sent to prison for polygamy. After some time, he was pardoned by the President of the United States. My own grandfather was born after that, carrying the president’s name as his middle name in gratitude.

Was polygamy “glorious”? No.
It was division, sorrow, and broken women who bore the weight of someone else’s religion.

πŸ—£️ Women, Rise Up

The same Spirit that spoke to Mary Magdalene, to Hannah, and to the mothers of the Nemenhahstill speaks to you.

You are not lesser.
You are not possessions.
You are the heart of Zion.

Speak. Pray. Refuse lies in God’s name.
The Peacemaker Himself calls you equal partners in His covenant.

✝️ A Simple Call Back to Christ

Forget the lies. Forget the robes. Forget the threats.

The Shepherd calls you back to the plain and precious truth:
One man. One woman. One heart.

This is the marriage of Zion.
This is the covenant of Christ and His Bride.

πŸ”₯ A Final Word for the Last Days

The Nemenhah prophets warned:

“Where women are loved, honored, and heeded, there shall Zion flourish. Where they are silenced, the land shall wither.”

Timothy still walks this earth.
He gave us these records so we would remember.

It’s time to choose.
Babylon or Zion.
Lust or Love.

As for me and my house—we choose love.

πŸ™ A Prayerful Invitation

If this stirs something in you—don’t just take my word for it.

Take it to God.

Kneel. Ask your Heavenly Father if Timothy’s words are true. Ask if Joseph Smith’s pure teachings have been corrupted. Ask if the Lord truly honors the women of Zion as equal partners.

The Spirit will speak. It always does to those who honestly seek.

And if you feel that whisper, don’t harden your heart. Step into the light Timothy saw. Be part of Zion’s healing.
