The Mothers Were the Leaders -- and Life Givers!

πŸ‘©‍🍼 The Mothers Were the Leaders

They Already Had the Priesthood

Let’s just say it plain:

Women don’t need to be given the priesthood.
They were born with it.

They received it from their Heavenly Father…
…and from their Heavenly Mother.

That’s right. Our Mother in Heaven.

She isn’t just quietly cheering from the sidelines.
She’s active, wise, and powerful.
And so are Her daughters.

🍞 What the Relief Society Table Taught Me

You walk into any Relief Society room and what do you see?

A table with a cloth. Flowers. Maybe a handwritten quote.

Men walk in with crumbs in their beard.
Women walk in with hearts ready to nurture nations.

They carry class, compassion, and covenant power.

πŸ“œ In the Nemenhah Records

In the Nemenhah stories—preserved from righteous Lamanite and Ammonite descendants—
the mothers weren’t just “supportive.”
They were the governing body.

Here’s what we’re told:

Ahgoahtee 4:2 –
“The Mothers gathered in council, and all matters of contention were brought before them.”

Tsihohnayah 6:8 –
“The Mother’s Council had the stewardship of the people’s peace.”

Mahnti 3:7 –
“And their judgments were sound, for they did not seek power but protection of their children.”

They didn’t lead because they wanted control.
They led because they understood life—because they gave life.

✨ Priesthood Without Ordination

No man ever laid hands on a woman and “gave” her priesthood.

Why?

Because she already had it.

In the Nemenhah ways:

– Women received their priesthood power from Heavenly Mother and Father before this life
– Their spiritual gifts were honored—not suppressed
– The men and women governed together, but the Mothers' Council had the final say in matters of peace, healing, family, and protection

They didn’t need permission to bless their children,
to receive revelation,
or to guide their communities.

It was already theirs.

πŸ•Š️ A True Story from the Records

One day, a conflict broke out between two villages—
A dispute over land and water.

The warriors sharpened weapons.
The men were ready to fight.

But the Mothers gathered.

They walked between the two camps,
and with songs and prayers, they called for a council.

Ahgoahtee 5:4 –
“When the voices of the Mothers rose, the spears fell to the earth. For the love of the womb did melt away the hate of pride.”

The fighting stopped.

Not because someone won…
…but because the Mothers spoke peace.

That’s priesthood.

🧑 Why Women Lead Best

Because they:

– Know the value of every single soul
– See their children’s faces in every stranger
– Don’t seek thrones—they seek healing
– Don’t dominate—they discern
– Don’t conquer—they create

Men, like our Father in Heaven, are creators.
Women, like our Mother in Heaven, are life-givers.

And life-givers bring something the world needs desperately:
Beauty.

They organize in a way that everything becomes lovely, peaceful, and nourishing—
Just like my own dear wife here on this earth.

And let’s not forget this sacred truth:

Our beloved Savior Jehovah, Creator of heaven and earth—
of all things that we know about and worlds without number
He did not create alone.

He had a wife. One eternal companion.
She stood beside Him from the beginning.
And just as He createdShe gave life and beauty to those worlds.

What a pattern.
What a truth.

This isn’t just doctrine—it’s destiny.

πŸ“– Scriptures That Tell the Truth

Tsihohnayah 7:6 –
“The Mothers did not seek the sword nor the crown, but their word did govern the hearts of the people.”

Mahnti 4:3 –
“The Peacemaker Himself sat in the circle of the Mothers and He called them wise above the warriors.”

Ahgoahtee 1:9 –
“No hand was laid upon them to confer power, for it was already within them, given from before the world was.”

Tsihohnayah 9:2 –
“Ye men, honor the wombs that bore you, for therein was fashioned the voice of God.”

2 Nephi 26:33 –
“We have supposed that the Lord has given his power unto men. Behold... he inviteth them all to come unto him… male and female.”

Alma 56:47 –
“Now they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.”

🌱 Final Thought

It’s time we say it boldly:

Women already have the priesthood.

Not the office. Not the title.
But the power, the gifts, and the divine birthright.

And in the days ahead, it’s going to be the Mothers of Zion
not the marching of men—

who lead the world back to Christ.

You can find this all out in the Nemenhah Records.
