They All Went Out of the Way --- (The First Cry of Timothy, the Hidden Nephite)
⚠️ They All Went Out of the Way
(The First Cry of Timothy, the Hidden Nephite)
π
This post is part of our Sunday morning study group, where we read from the Nemenhah Records—words preserved for the Remnant.
Today’s message comes from a prophecy by Timothy (Tsimohtl), one of the Three Nephites—
π Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm, Chapter 13, verses 1–33.
This one hits hard.
π Lip Service and Empty Hearts
“They have all gone out of the way... they draw near with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:3)
It’s not just some of them.
It’s not just "the world."
It’s all of them.
Churches. Councils. Pulpits. Programs.
They say the right words—“Jesus,” “covenant path,” “follow the prophet”—
But they won’t actually come unto Him.
π’ “We Are the Church of God”
“They say: We are the church of God, and we cannot be led astray.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:5)
Familiar?
It should be.
That slogan is carved into hearts and handbooks.
But Timothy says: It’s a lie.
They’re blind and boastful.
They’ve traded relationship for religion.
π Resting in Traditions
“They rely upon the words of men and deny the Spirit.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:6)
The checklist replaced the covenant.
The handbook replaced the Holy Ghost.
And the people?
They feel safe.
But they’re asleep.
π Boasting in Keys
“They say: We have the keys and the covenants, and all men must come to us or be lost.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:8)
And this...
This is the wound.
The claim that salvation flows through them.
That unless you enter their doors,
take their sacrament,
wear their garments—
you cannot be saved.
That’s not Christ.
That’s control.
π’ The Lord Grieves
“I have sent My Spirit unto them, but they would not receive it.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:10)
He tried.
He really did.
The Spirit came knocking.
But they were too busy building temples,
writing talks,
reorganizing stakes.
And the voice of the Spirit?
They ignored it.
π£ A Cry, Not a Curse
“My voice is raised not to destroy, but to awaken.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:12)
This isn’t about tearing anyone down.
It’s a trumpet blast.
A spiritual earthquake.
The Lord’s voice isn’t coming to burn—it’s coming to shake us awake.
To say:
“You’re not walking with Me anymore.”
“Come back.”
π€️ The Way Still Exists
“There is a Way, and it is still in the earth, though few there be who find it.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:18)
Not the corporate path.
Not the temple calendar.
The Way.
The real one.
The narrow, holy, soul-rending, fire-filled path to Jesus.
It’s still here.
But few will see it—
because they’re busy looking up to the pulpit,
instead of inward to the Light.
π§⚖️ Woe to the Shepherds
“Woe unto the shepherds who cause the sheep to err... who sit in high places and say: Thus saith the Lord, when He hath not spoken.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:22–24)
This one shakes me.
Not all who claim revelation speak for God.
Not all who hold offices hold the Spirit.
Titles don’t sanctify.
Only Christ does.
If you lead others away from Him—
even in His name—
He will hold you accountable.
π Still, He Invites
“Turn unto Me, saith the Lord, and walk in the Way. Be sanctified, and I will receive you.”
(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 13:30)
That’s the hope.
Even after all the pride,
all the programs,
all the veils of tradition—
He still calls.
“Turn to Me.”
Not to the church.
Not to the keys.
To Me.
And if you’ll do it?
He will receive you.
π This was Timothy’s first cry.
The first warning.
The first call.
And it still echoes today—
right into our meetings,
our manuals,
our minds.
Will we hear it?
Will we walk the Way?
Will we come to Him?
