What Happened to the Fullness?
π₯ What Happened to the Fullness?
A Wake-Up Call for Good Saints
Let’s just say it plain.
Something’s changed.
And it’s not just society.
It’s not the world going wicked.
It’s the Church.
The doctrines we were raised on…
are not the doctrines Joseph taught.
π· The Word of Wisdom Wasn’t a Worthiness Interview
Joseph drank wine.
He enjoyed beer.
And he received a revelation—a gentle, wise, invitation—to treat the body as a temple.
It said: don’t be commanded in all things.
It said: use herbs with prudence, eat meat sparingly, rejoice in grain.
But now?
It’s a law.
A checklist.
A key to the temple.
A gate to heaven.
Drink a coffee, lose your recommend.
But Joseph drank wine and still saw angels.
π The Apostles Used to See Christ
In the early days, when a man was ordained to the apostleship…
He was expected to see the Savior.
Not just feel the Spirit.
Not just bear testimony of things hoped for.
See Him.
Today?
They admit it—most haven’t.
They say a warm feeling is enough.
But Joseph knew that a witness of Christ meant a visitation.
He said the Lord would manifest Himself to any who obeyed His voice.
π₯ Obedience Replaced Revelation
Joseph taught us:
Don’t lean on the prophet.
Don’t idolize him.
Go to God for yourself.
He said a prophet is only a prophet when he is acting as such.
But now?
We’re told:
“When the prophet speaks, the thinking has been done.”
We’re told:
“Follow the prophet, even if he’s wrong.”
And if you ask God and hear something different than the hierarchy?
You’re labeled deceived.
Prideful.
Dangerous.
⚔️ We Don’t Talk About Blood Atonement
Brigham Young taught that some sins required death.
They called it doctrine.
They enforced it.
Mountain Meadows was not an accident.
It was the fruit of corrupted priesthood and blind obedience.
Joseph never taught that kind of gospel.
But try bringing that up in Sunday School.
You’ll get polite stares.
And then silence.
π« Whatever Happened to the Second Comforter?
Joseph promised that if we pressed forward,
If we followed Christ,
If we sought Him diligently…
He would come to us.
In this life.
Not just someday.
Now.
In vision.
In person.
Face to face.
This was the fullness of the gospel.
Not just ordinances.
Not just church meetings.
But the assurance of eternal life—sealed by the Savior’s own lips.
When was the last time you heard that in General Conference?
π The Book of Mormon Saw This Coming
Nephi warned us:
Churches would rise up that say “I, I, I”—
But they would deny the power of God.
Moroni warned us:
A day would come when churches would be filled with pride,
With riches,
With fine sanctuaries and fine clothing—
But they would cast out the humble followers of Christ.
The Lord Himself warned:
If we reject the fullness…
He will take it away.
πΏ The Nemenhah Saw It Too
They wrote:
A people would arise who built much in the name of God, but they would not hear His voice.
They would put their trust in temples and in leaders, but they would forget the face of the Peacemaker.
They would claim authority from ancient days but would silence the prophets among them.
They would teach commandments as doctrine, and the spirit would be quenched.
Yet still, the Lord would call. Not to the mighty, but to the meek. Not to the robe, but to the voice.
A remnant would arise, not with wealth, but with truth. Not with position, but with power.
π️ So What Do We Do?
We stop pretending.
We stop outsourcing our salvation.
We stop waiting for someone else to give us permission.
And we start…
- Seeking Christ for ourselves
- Hearing His voice
- Walking in His ways
- Believing His promises
The fullness is still available.
But you’ll have to go through the veil—
Not the one in the temple—
The one in your heart.
π A Simple Prayer
Jesus, I want to know You.
Not just know about You.
I’ve followed men long enough.
I’ve walked halls of stone and listened to smooth speeches.
But now I want Your voice.
Come to me, Lord.
Lead me through the fire.
Seal me Yours.
Amen.
