When the Shaking Comes — Who Will Stand?

πŸŒͺ️ When the Shaking Comes — Who Will Stand?

There are so many good people in the Church.
Salt-of-the-earth people.
They serve.
They show up.
They cry with the broken and bless the sick.
They give fast offerings and mow the neighbor’s lawn.
They stay up late preparing Sunday School lessons,
and they fold up chairs in the gym every Saturday or Sunday—after every funeral.

One of them is my own brother.
A dear man I’ve looked up to all my life.
He’s been a bishop four times.
Served in the stake presidency.
Led as a stake president for ten more years.
He’s a missionary.
He’s a patriarch.
He gives blessings—beautiful, inspired blessings that have touched many lives.
He is a spiritual man.

I love him deeply.
And I know he loves the Lord.

But even the most spiritual among us…
We still have to read the writing on the wall.

When I shared with him some of the things the Lord has shown me—
through scripture, through prayer, through the Nemenhah—
he looked at me with kindness, but firmness, and said:

“No. I’ll stay with the Brethren.”

My heart didn’t feel anger.
It felt sorrow.
Because I know the cost of that loyalty.
And I know the goodness behind it.

πŸ•Š️ Another voice I love—my dear sister—quoted a scripture we both know:

“The very elect shall be deceived.”
(Matthew 24:24)

Then she said, lovingly:

“You’re the one who’s been deceived.”

That moment hurt too.
Because she’s sincere.
She’s devoted.
She means well.

It hurts to love people who are doing so much good…
and yet miss the warning signs flashing in red all around us.

πŸ“œ The Prophets Knew

Isaiah saw it.
Jeremiah wept over it.
So did Mormon, Moroni, and the prophets of the Nemenhah.

“They draw near to me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me,
but have removed their heart far from me…”

(Isaiah 29:13; 2 Nephi 27:25)

“Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture.”
(Jeremiah 23:1)

“For behold, they do study at this time that they may destroy the liberty of thy people.”
(Alma 8:17)

“They shall say: Behold, the Lord hath given his power unto men.”
(2 Nephi 28:5)

“All is not well in Zion.”
(2 Nephi 28:21)

From the Nemenhah:

“They do boast in the Keys which they have inherited,
saying, Lo, we are the keepers of the Way,
and none can come unto the Father save they receive of our keys.”

(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:26)

“But I say unto you, the keys are not the way.
Behold, I am the Way.”
—The Peacemaker (Ayahtsuhway)

(Tsi Muhayl 2:8:21)

“They build great sanctuaries and adorn them with much fine workmanship,
and they call upon My Name therein.
Yet I come not unto them, for they do set up a veil
and call it Priesthood.”

(Mohrhohnahyah 8:17)

“Their prophets do prophesy smooth things,
and their seers see not for the people.
And behold, they do silence them that cry repentance.”

(Mohrhohnahyah 15:4)

“For they do say, Lo, we have the power,
and they that follow not after us shall be cast off.
But I say unto them, Ye have cast off your own selves.”

(Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:30)

“Their trust is in their organization and their gold.
And behold, the Lord shall strip them of both.”

(Mowtzzuh 4:11)

“They say: We are called, and none else shall rise up.
But I raise up whom I will,
even from the dust of the earth.”

(Shi-Tugohah 2:17)

πŸ› So Much Church. So Little Christ.

We are so busy doing good.
So busy with meetings and assignments and programs.
We barely have time to sit at His feet.

I have a dear son.
He walked away from the Church.
And one day he told me something I’ll never forget:

“Dad, for the first time in my life,
I actually have time to live what the Savior taught.”

That hit me.
Not with bitterness—
but with clarity.

And I can say with my whole heart, his family has thrived!

⚖️ Protecting What, Exactly?

Years ago, I sat on a high council court.
A dear brother had stumbled—something about chastity.
I was new to it all, and they explained the process.
You draw a number to determine your role.

I drew Number One.

And they told me,

“That means you must defend the Church.”

So there I was,
tasked with explaining how this man’s repentance
might “harm” the Church if we welcomed him back in.

And something inside me froze.

What are we protecting?
Didn’t Jesus say,

“Neither do I condemn thee—go, and sin no more”?
(John 8:11)

Why was I defending the institution...
instead of standing with the Savior of mercy?

Who gave us this supposed authority over forgiveness?
Over who’s in and who’s out?

Why are we so worried about protecting the Church...
when what we should be doing is protecting our hearts from pride?

πŸ”₯ What Now? Where Do We Go From Here?

We go inward.
We go upward.
We seek the Lord — not the institution.

We hold the line.
We cry repentance,
but we don’t condemn.
We watch for the humble,
and we gather the willing.

And yes—it’s hard.
More and more people are waking up.
They’re sharing what they’ve found—on YouTube, on blogs, in quiet gatherings.
And what happens?

Take it down.
Or you’re out.

Many are being silenced.
Many are being excommunicated.
And families are being torn.

I know this pain firsthand.
I have a dear wife.
She is faithful.
She believes the Church with all her heart.
She’s lived it, defended it, served in it with devotion.

And yet, the Savior has made it clear to me:

“Walk with her.”

So I do.
Even when it hurts.
Even when we don’t see the same.

This is not just about doctrine.
It’s about love.
It’s about letting go of old systems
while holding tightly to those we love most.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
If any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him.”

(Revelation 3:20)

“If ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life.
Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you.”

(3 Nephi 9:14)

“If any man desire to enter in at the Gate,
let him come by Me and not by another.”

(AYAHTKUHYAHT NEMENHAH 7:15)

🌾 The Last Shall Be First

To those still clinging to the Church instead of to Christ—
We love you.
We’re praying for you.
We were you.

This isn’t about rebellion.
It’s about returning.
It’s about recognizing that the Lord is calling His people out of structures that cannot save.

“Because of false teachers and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted…
They rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries.”

(2 Nephi 28:12–13)

“They sit in fine places of judgment and set themselves up to be a light,
but their light is not the light of Christ,
and behold, they shall be cast down.”

(Mowtzzuh 3:16)

“The Lord shall make bare His holy arm in the eyes of all nations;
and the meek and the humble shall see it.”

(Isaiah 52:10; 1 Nephi 22:10)

“The remnant shall return unto the Lord,
even they who were cast out and lightly esteemed.
They shall inherit Zion.”

(Mohrhohnahyah 4:13)

πŸ‘£ Come and See

If this stirs something in your soul…
Come and see.
Read the Nemenhah.
Read Isaiah again.
Read the words of the Lord in 3rd Nephi 16.

He is calling.
And He will come.
But He comes to Zion, not Babylon.
To the remnant, not the rich.
To the humble, not the hierarchy.

Be ready.
And be full of love.
