Zion Is Closer Than You Think

🏑 Zion Is Closer Than You Think

(Part 2 of “Wake-Up Hits from The True Remnant”)

πŸ’¬ Warm Up

I love the Saints. Most of us are praying for Zion, singing about it, and hoping for the day it will finally come. But what if Zion isn’t waiting on some future announcement from Salt Lake? What if the Lord is waiting on us—right now—to live the way He’s been asking us to all along?

The Book of Mormon was written for our day. Not for some other church—ours. When it warns the Gentiles, it’s talking about us. That might sting a little, but sometimes we need a wake-up call.

Here are 10 truths that woke me up.

1️⃣ If we were perfect, we’d already be living in Zion

We’re not waiting for the Lord to build Zion—He’s waiting for us.
“The Lord God hath sworn that the time cometh that they shall be brought out of obscurity.”

The Nemenhah: “Tsiahn is not built by angels coming down, but by the people who love one another enough to live as one.” (Book of Tsihmlayi)

2️⃣ Priestcraft builds churches. Love builds Zion

The Book of Mormon warns: “Priestcrafts are that men preach and set themselves up for a light… that they may get gain and praise of the world; but they seek not the welfare of Zion.”

Could this be talking about other churches—or ours? Who else spends billions on buildings and worries about public image more than the poor? The Book of Mormon was written for the Church. It’s talking to us.

The Nemenhah: “Tsiahn cannot be built with priestcraft, for the Peacemaker dwells not in houses built for gain.”(Book of Mohrhohnahyah)

3️⃣ The big church will boast of buildings. The small flock will quietly heal the sick

Christ said: “Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

The Nemenhah: “Tsiahn shall rise among the tents of the meek, while the great houses stand empty.” (Book of Mahnti)

4️⃣ The wicked will destroy the wicked. The righteous won’t need to lift a finger

“The sword of my justice shall hang over them… and the wicked shall slay the wicked.”

The Nemenhah: “Fear not, for the Peacemaker shall turn the hand of the wicked against the wicked, until they are no more.” (Book of Mohrhohnahyah)

5️⃣ The Lord is still speaking—He will gather Zion Himself

“The Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover his people.”

The Nemenhah: “Tsiahn shall be gathered, not by decree of kings nor councils of men, but by the whispering of the Haymehnay to the hearts of the humble.” (Book of Ahgohtl)

6️⃣ Zion starts in your living room, not Salt Lake City

“And there were no contentions among them, and every man dealt justly one with another.”

The Nemenhah: “Build Tsiahn in your home, and it shall spread to your neighbor’s home; and when enough homes are Tsiahn, behold, the City of Light shall be.” (Book of Tsi Muhayl)

7️⃣ Sometimes the holiest thing you can do is help your wife with the dishes

“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”

The Nemenhah: “Tsiahn begins when a man loves his wife and children as the Peacemaker loves them, for this is holy order.” (Book of Tsihmlayi)

8️⃣ Joseph restored the path. Brigham paved a road to somewhere else

Nephi saw it: “There are also secret combinations, even as in times of old.”

Brigham Young was a great organizer, but he turned the Restoration into something Joseph never taught. His lust for power—and for women—changed everything. He took dozens of wives, claiming it was God’s will, while Joseph publicly condemned polygamy to the end of his life.

The Nemenhah: “The restoration was pure in its rising, but men changed the plain paths into roads of dominion.”(Book of Mohrhohnahyah)

9️⃣ Your calling and election isn’t signed by a bishop

“After ye have received the Holy Ghost ye can speak with the tongue of angels.” That’s your real calling.

The Nemenhah: “The Peacemaker shall seal you His, not with papers of men, but with His Spirit.” (Book of Ahgohtl)

πŸ”Ÿ The best sermon you’ll ever hear might be in the quiet when you finally shut up

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

The Nemenhah: “Be silent often, for the Haymehnay speaks when the tongue rests.” (Book of Mahnti)

❤️ Wrap-Up

Could it be any clearer? The Book of Mormon isn’t warning “the world.” It’s warning us—the very people who claim to love it the most.

Zion isn’t waiting for a new building or a new handbook. It’s waiting for hearts—our hearts.

πŸ™ A Short Prayer

“Lord Jesus, help me see Zion the way You see it. Forgive me for waiting for someone else to build it. Let my home be one of those homes where Zion begins. Amen.”
