✨ Day 5: The 14 Steps – How I Received the Second Comforter

✨ Day 5: The 14 Steps – How I Received the Second Comforter

“Here is a short outline of what I did 24 hours leading up to my Second Comforter…”
— How to Have Your Second Comforter, p. 164

🕊️ YES, IT REALLY HAPPENS

The veil is not a metaphor.
The Lord is not hiding.
But there is a path—holy, deliberate, and beautiful.

The author of How to Have Your Second Comforter didn’t just pray and hope.
He preparedactedbelieved, and then…
He saw.

This is the outline of a real encounter.
Not fiction. Not tradition.
This is how it happens.

🪜 THE 14-STEP PREPARATION

The author writes:

1. Began a fast about 24 hours before.
2. Set a time for the following morning to approach the Lord.
3. Visited some families in need and offered service and blessings.
4. Attended Church and thought deeply about things of the Spirit.
5. Woke up and made preparations for prayer without using the phone, computer, or other distractions.
6. Partook of the Sacrament by myself.
7. Asked for forgiveness.
8. Began offering praises of gratitude, and declarations of God’s greatness.
9. Envisioned myself bathing in light and glory as I praised.
10. Began speaking in tongues as I used my personal prayer language of praise and love.
11. Asked the Lord if He would share His love and light with me.
“Lord, may I come unto thee? What would thou have me to do?”
12. Allowed the vision to take shape.
13. Kept asking for more and allowed the Spirit to guide.
14. I was not in a hurry; I was patient; I allowed my mind to search and see spiritually. I focused on details: what I saw, felt, and smelled.

📖 SCRIPTURE CONFIRMATION

Book of Mormon:

“And there were many whose faith was so exceedingly strong… who could not be kept from within the veil.” (Ether 12:19)
“If ye will come unto me, ye shall have eternal life.” (3 Nephi 9:14)

Doctrine and Covenants:

“It shall come to pass, that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me… and obeyeth my voice… shall see my face and know that I am.” (D&C 93:1)

Bible:

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

Nemenhah (✔ VERIFIED):

“And behold, He did come unto me and He did take me up, and I beheld His face and He spake unto me, and this is my witness, that the Peacemaker is alive.”
The Book of Hayneht Paynieht Ahkehkt, Ch. 4

🔥 FINAL WORD: HOW BAD DO YOU WANT HIM?

The author writes:

“You need to bang on that door, push yourself in, and chase the Lord all the way to the highest realms of the Heavens! The Lord will be smiling and encouraging you the whole way.” (p. 122)

You can’t hope your way to Zion.
You can’t sit in a pew and expect a personal audience.
You have to want Him more than breath.

More than routine.
More than comfort.
More than answers.

You have to chase the Lord
and when you do, He’ll stop running.
He’ll turn around.
And He’ll smile.

🙏 INVITATION

Today, ask yourself this:

What would I be willing to do to receive Him?

Fast?
Pray alone?
Cleanse my heart?
Forgive my enemies?
Let go of every tradition that holds me back?

Start the list.
Start the journey.
He is closer than you think.
