π The Gifts Are Real—And They're Yours
π The Gifts Are Real—And They're Yours
What the Spirit Gives to the Humble, Not the High-Ranking
πΎ Not Just for Prophets in Suits
There’s a dangerous tradition among us.
We think spiritual gifts are reserved for people in high positions. Or those with titles. Or those with connections.
But the gifts of the Spirit—those sacred, celestial endowments—are not handed out in church offices.
They come in stillness. In brokenness. In obedience. In love.
And the Holy Ghost doesn’t ask for your calling.
He asks for your heart.
π What Are the Gifts of the Spirit?
The Apostle Paul gave us a list.
So did Moroni.
And the Doctrine & Covenants.
But the truth is, no list will ever be complete. Because the Spirit gives “to every man severally as He will” (1 Cor. 12:11).
Here are just a few:
The gift of believing the testimony of true witnesses (Moroni 10:4–5)
The gift of prophecy
The gift of tongues and interpretation
The gift of healing
The gift to be healed
The gift of faith to see miracles
The gift of charity
The gift of visions
The gift of discerning of spirits
The ministering of angels
The ability to teach with power
The ability to forgive—yes, that's a gift too
The gift to see the face of the Lord
These are not signs for status. They are tools for building Zion.
π The Foundation Gift
Before all others—comes belief.
Not belief in a church. Not belief in a prophet.
But belief in Christ.
“To some is given by the Holy Ghost to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he was crucified for the sins of the world”
—D&C 46:13
That’s the first and great gift.
To know Him.
To believe His voice.
Everything else flows from that root.
π₯ Not For Sale, Not for Show
Many seek spiritual gifts for the wrong reasons.
To be noticed. To prove themselves. To impress their group.
But the gifts cannot be manipulated. They’re not magic tricks.
“Seek not for a sign, but seek ye earnestly the best gifts, always remembering for what they are given.”
—D&C 46:8
They’re given to edify, to bless, to build up the Kingdom of God—not to flex on Instagram.
And if they’re sought with pride?
The Haymehnay withdraws.
The gifts go quiet.
π️ The True Pattern: Humility + Desire + Obedience
Let’s not overcomplicate this.
Here’s the sacred equation:
Desire + Faith + Humility = Gifts Flowing Through You
You don’t need priesthood keys.
You don’t need to be set apart by a bishop.
You don’t need a committee’s approval.
“And all these gifts come by the Spirit of Christ; and they come unto every man severally, according as he will.”
—Moroni 10:17
“If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me.”
—Moroni 7:33
When you’re ready, He gives.
When you’re broken, He fills.
When you’re obedient, He speaks.
π Joseph Taught It Too
Before the programs and the policies, Joseph Smith taught this:
“No man can receive the Holy Ghost without receiving revelations. The Holy Ghost is a revelator.”
—Joseph Smith, TPJS p. 328
He also said:
“The Lord will make a man a prophet, seer, and revelator if he will live for it.”
It doesn’t say the Lord will make a president one.
It says a man.
You.
Me.
π¦ What the Nemenhah Say
In the Nemenhah Records, the prophets speak of the gifts often—though not always with that title.
They speak of:
Hearing the Voice of the Haymehnay (Holy Ghost)
Seeing in the Spirit (visions and heavenly visitations)
Healing with their hands by faith and prayer
Speaking in power that pierces souls
Discerning false spirits and corrupt authorities
Transporting in the Spirit to distant places for ministry
Dreams and visitations from the Peacemaker Himself
And who receives them?
The mothers, the children, the outcasts, the humble, the wanderers who seek the Peacemaker with all their heart.
Not just the ordained.
Not just the men.
π± You Already Have a Gift
Moroni tells us something precious at the end of the Book of Mormon:
“And again, I exhort you... that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God.”
—Moroni 10:8
Denying them isn’t just saying “they don’t exist.”
It’s also saying “they’re not for me.”
But they are.
You’ve got one already. Probably more.
You just haven’t unwrapped them yet.
✨ A Gentle Warning
Paul warned the early Saints:
“Quench not the Spirit.” (1 Thess. 5:19)
We do that when we:
Trust the arm of flesh instead of revelation
Shut down our spiritual nudges out of fear
Ignore dreams
Dismiss visions
Mock those who speak by the Holy Ghost
Prioritize meetings over miracles
Brothers and sisters, we’ve been taught not to expect the gifts.
We’ve been taught they’re rare, or for special occasions, or only through a priesthood line.
That’s a lie.
They’re a birthright to the faithful.
The real ones.
π₯ Let the Gifts Return
I testify as one among the quiet remnant:
The gifts are back.
They never left.
We just forgot how to seek them.
You want to see angels?
Minister to the poor.
You want to prophesy?
Sanctify your tongue.
You want to heal the sick?
Repent and walk in the name of Christ.
You want to know Him?
Ask.
Then wait.
Then listen.
He gives.
Every time.
Because He promised.
π️ Final Call
This is not for a few.
It’s for you.
The second you stop waiting for permission and start listening to the Spirit—
—the gifts will come like rain.
He promised it.
I believe Him.
And so should you.
π️ Be Holy. Be Gifted. Be One.
The Spirit gives. Receive it.
