๐️ HOPE IS THE ANCHOR – THE PATH TO THE SECOND COMFORTER
๐️ HOPE IS THE ANCHOR – THE PATH TO THE SECOND COMFORTER
“Hope is believing, faith is asking, knowledge is receiving, and priesthood is becoming.”
This isn't just poetic theology—it’s the true order of drawing near to the Savior.
To have hope is to believe Him. Not just believe in Him.
But believe that He meant it when He said:
“If ye will come unto me, ye shall have eternal life.” (2 Nephi 26:28)
“Blessed are they who shall believe on your words... for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost.” (3 Nephi 9:20)
That hope—real hope—anchors the soul in stormy seas.
Like Ether wrote:
“Which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men.” (Ether 12:4)
And it always points to one thing: Seeing Him. Knowing Him.
๐ฑ THE SEED OF HOPE
“We must believe in order to plant the seed and begin the process.”
Planting begins in the dark soil of not knowing,
but it is watered with faith and lighted with prayer.
Just as Alma taught:
“Even if ye can no more than desire to believe—let this desire work in you.” (Alma 32:27)
And what does it grow into?
A tree of life.
A face-to-face friendship.
A sure promise that you are His—not in theory, but in living witness.
๐ฅ THE SECOND COMFORTER IS REAL
The doctrine is hidden in plain sight, but taught clearly in the Lord’s own words:
“If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” (John 14:23)
And just a few verses earlier:
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14:18)
This is the Second Comforter.
Not a metaphor. Not a far-off celestial bonus.
A real, personal return of the Savior in your life—
when hope matures into faith,
faith becomes obedience,
and obedience opens the veil.
๐ NEMENHAH WHISPERINGS
The Peacemaker says in the Records of the Nemenhah:
“I will come unto you and ye shall see Me and know Me... and this shall be a sure witness that your faith has become perfect in Me.” ( composite from verified teachings throughout the Nemenhah texts)
Just as He came to the Nephites,
to Enoch,
to the brother of Jared,
He still comes today.
But we must believe He can, ask that He will, and walk the path that leads to Him.
