๐ŸŒธ Women: The Life-Givers and Protectors of Zion

๐ŸŒธ Women: The Life-Givers and Protectors of Zion

๐ŸŒฟ Eve’s Wisdom

From the very beginning, women have carried the heart of God’s plan.
Eve — our mother — made the choice that opened the way for life itself.

“Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:14–15)

This was no mistake. Eve saw beyond the present moment into the future of her children. Wisdom, not weakness. Courage, not sin.

๐ŸŒฟ The Pure Power of Women

Why have women so often been pushed down? Because they carry the purest gift God ever entrusted to mortals — life itself. They are the givers, the nurturers, the protectors.

The Nemenhah Records testify:

“The women did govern, and the women did decide matters of the city, for their eye was single to the children and the generations to come.”   (Tsihmlayi 1:7–9)

The Book of Mormon honors righteous mothers:

“They had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them… and they did not doubt their mothers knew it.” (Alma 56:47–48)

The Doctrine and Covenants calls Emma Smith:

“An elect lady, whom I have called.” (D&C 25:3)

From the beginning, God’s plan was never that women be silent or secondary. It was that they stand as co-heirs and co-creators.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Priesthood and the Heart

The Nemenhah Records say plainly:

“The women hold the priesthood in their very bodies, for in them is the gift of life, and the men must learn to be worthy of it.”   (Pahk Ahlmahnah 2:11–12)

The Book of Mormon confirms:

“The Lord esteemeth all flesh in one; he denieth none that come unto him, male or female.” (2 Nephi 26:33)

Women already carry heaven’s creative power. Men must labor to prove faithful, while women are born as the very vessels of life.

This is why Christ so often appeared to women first:

“The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early… and seeth the stone taken away.” (John 20:1)

And out of sacredness, we rarely mention it, but even the Savior Himself walked side by side with His eternal companion — the co-creator of worlds. Her presence is hidden, yet her touch is in all creation.

๐ŸŒ Mother Earth and the Beauty of Women

Why do we call this planet “Mother Earth”? Because she gives beauty and life.

A man may build and hammer, but can he set a Relief Society table with a tablecloth and a flower? Rarely. Women bring the gentleness, the touch, the artistry that makes the whole world bloom. Take away women, and the world becomes machinery. With women, the world is home.

๐Ÿ”ฅ A Hard Truth We Must Face

And yet, what have we done with this divine gift?
In the very Church that proclaimed Emma “an elect lady,” women’s voices were soon silenced. After Joseph’s death, Brigham Young suspended the Relief Society in 1845, fearing that women were speaking against “spiritual wifery.”

Joseph and Hyrum had spoken out against polygamy, calling it a plague on the Church. Yet Brigham took that very plague and built it into the center of his new order. Women became plural wives, not queens of Zion. The very society raised to empower them was dissolved for decades.

Polygamy was branded as obedience to God, but in truth it enslaved women, reduced them to property, and buried the Spirit of Zion beneath hierarchy and lust.

๐ŸŒบ A Call to Remember and Rise

Let us remember Eve’s wisdom, Sarah’s faith, Mary’s purity, and Emma’s courage. Let us hear again the voices of the mothers in the Nemenhah, who governed with love for the children. Let us honor the mothers of the stripling warriors, who gave their sons a faith that could not be shaken.

It is time for the women of the last days to rise in their true calling. Not in bitterness. Not in rebellion. But in love, in strength, in the priesthood power they already carry.

Zion will be born in no other way.
