๐️ The Coming Exodus & Redemption of Zion — Two Servants Will Lead
We’ve all heard it: in the last days, the Lord will raise up a servant patterned after Moses. A deliverer to lead God’s people out of bondage and into Zion.
Some say it will be Joseph Smith himself, returning in a second life to finish what he started. Could that happen? Sure—the Lord can do anything. But Isaiah, Nephi, John the Revelator, and even the Nemenhah Records paint a picture of two last-day servants, not just one.
And when you line up the scriptures, it’s breathtaking.
๐ฅ The Exodus Pattern
Doctrine and Covenants tells us to prepare:
“Therefore, prepare ye, prepare ye, O my people; sanctify yourselves…” (D&C 88:74)
This isn’t just symbolic. The last days will mirror the days of Moses:
God’s people will be in bondage—spiritual and physical.
A servant will confront oppressors.
Power will be given from heaven to lead the people out.
The Lord did it once with Pharaoh. He will do it again.
๐ Isaiah’s Vision of the Servants
Isaiah 51–52 (restated in 2 Nephi 8) gives the framework:
Zion’s waste places restored, deserts turned to gardens.
A law and standard goes forth.
The arm of the Lord revealed in power.
The redeemed return to Zion with singing.
But then Isaiah adds something striking:
“These two sons are come unto thee… Thy sons have fainted, save these two.” (2 Nephi 8:19–20)
John fills in the details: two prophets in Jerusalem (Revelation 11). They will testify with power, be slain, and then rise again after three days.
Two servants. A Davidic kingly figure and a Lamanite prophet.
The Nemenhah Records echo the same theme: that the remnant of Lehi’s children will rise in the last days as an ensign, and a great chief will be raised up, full of covenant power, to guide Zion’s redemption.
๐ Who Is Israel?
Isaiah reminds us:
“Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart I have written my law, fear ye not the reproach of men.” (2 Nephi 8:7)
Israel isn’t a bloodline club. Zion is made up of those who:
Have broken hearts and contrite spirits.
Are spiritually reborn in Christ.
Stand unafraid of men’s reviling.
The gates are open to all who will come.
๐ The Keys and the Choice Seer
2 Nephi 3 is often misunderstood. Joseph of Egypt foresaw Joseph Smith, yes—but he also foresaw another choice seer, one raised up in the last days for the remnant of Joseph.
This isn’t Joseph Smith coming back—it’s a future servant, a great Lamanite chief, raised up by God Himself, given heavenly keys for the gathering.
The Nemenhah say it plainly: the remnant shall yet be lifted up, and a leader from among them will guide the Refuge of Zion.
Together with the Davidic Servant, he will stand at the head of the 144,000.
⚔️ The Redemption of Zion
What will these servants accomplish?
Gather the righteous from every nation.
Rebuke false watchmen and corrupt systems.
Lead the faithful to the New Jerusalem.
Walk with the Savior Himself.
Witness the Lord fight the battles of His people.
This is the Exodus renewed. Pharaoh may wear a different crown, but the Red Sea will part again.
๐งฑ Building on the Rock
Zion cannot be founded on sand. Not on institutions. Not on bureaucracy. Not on half-light religion.
It must be built on:
Christ alone.
The fullness of His gospel, restored in purity.
Priesthood power given directly from heaven.
“Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 52:1)
๐️ The Call to Prepare
Borrowed light won’t cut it. We will need our own lamps filled with oil. We’ll need direct guidance from the Spirit. And we’ll need the courage to follow the Lord’s chosen servants—even if it means stepping outside familiar systems.
The trumpet is about to sound. The servants are being prepared.
When the call comes, will we be ready to move?
