Can You Imagine “The God Man” Passing By?

Have you ever read the New Testament or the Book of Mormon account of Christ in Bountiful and actually imagined yourself there?

👣 Have you ever pictured yourself on the Road to Emmaus?
Depressed. Hopeless. Your head down, gravel crunching under your tired feet. Then, from nowhere, a lone traveler walks beside you and gently asks: “What things?”

💔 Have you ever imagined being dragged by your hair, thrust onto the cold floor of the temple at Jerusalem?
The smell of the stone. The air thick with accusation. Every charge true. Your death by stoning certain. Until mercy Himself bends down into the dust beside you.

When we read scripture it is tempting to keep it outside ourselves, like history that happened to other people long ago.
But what if we let it in?

What if you paused, smelled the air, heard the voices, felt the heat of the crowd—and then lifted your eyes to His face?

The accounts of Christ’s life take on an entirely new meaning when we read them as a personal invitation: “Come and See.”

When The God Man passes by you… will you recognize Him?
