๐️ The Little Flock and the Sealing of God
Reflections on The Book of Hayihnmeht, Chapter Two
๐ง๐ A Seventeen-Year-Old Prophet Looks Ahead
Hayihnmeht looks forward into our day. He sees not only confusion and pride, but also a remnant — a little flock — who will walk in the Peacemaker’s way.
“From among the believers there shall arise some few who will refuse to be so caught up in the things of the world” (Hayihnmeht 2:2).
๐ค Friendship, Not Judgment
“Make of yourselves friends of they who worship wealth… though your neighbor be of different beliefs, he may yet offer you comfort and refuge” (Hayihnmeht 2:11–13).
That reminds me of Christ’s words:
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
⚠️ The Poison of Pride
Hayihnmeht warns against boasting of spiritual gifts:
“To stand before men to preach your own election is to condemn all those who find other vocation” (Hayihnmeht 2:15).
Compare Nephi’s warning:
“He commandeth that there shall be no priestcrafts; for… men preach and set themselves up for a light” (2 Nephi 26:29).
๐ The Chiastic Heart
At the center of the chapter:
E. Only the Peacemaker saves. Only the Haymehnay seals.
“The power to seal is had by the Holy Spirit of Promise alone… the power to save is had by the Creator alone” (Hayihnmeht 2:36–37).
๐️ The True Sealer
No man or church holds that power. This matches Paul:
“It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died… who also maketh intercession for us” (Romans 8:33–34).
๐พ The Little Flock
“My heart does swell within me to see the little flock… they shall be blessed and prospered in the midst of their trials” (Hayihnmeht 2:39–40).
✍️ My Reflection
The remnant will survive by humility and harmlessness. Not by boasting. Not by judgment. The Peacemaker Himself will seal His own.
