๐Ÿ›️ When the Corporation Replaces the Kingdom

๐Ÿ›️ When the Corporation Replaces the Kingdom

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33

When the institution becomes the mission, we’ve lost the mission.
When the logo overshadows the Lamb, we’ve built a tower instead of a temple.
And when the corporation becomes the goal instead of the Kingdom of God… we’ve stopped short.

๐ŸŒฑ The Kingdom Is Not a Brand

In the scriptures, the Kingdom of God is never a registered trademark. It is never a corporation, LLC, or non-profit. It is a living community of saints — humble men and women bound together, not by contracts, but by covenant.

Book of Mormon: “The Lord God hath said that the inhabitants of Zion shall remember their labors, inasmuch as they labor for Zion; for if they labor for money they perish.” (2 Nephi 26:31)

In Zion, authority flows from heaven — not from corporate flow charts. Callings are not job titles. Discipleship is not managed like a franchise. The Savior’s voice is the center, not the quarterly report.

๐Ÿ“œ What the Savior Taught

When Jesus visited the Nephites, He did not organize a corporate board.
He taught faith, repentance, baptism, and the reception of the Holy Ghost — the Doctrine of Christ (3 Nephi 11:31–41; 3 Nephi 27:13–21). He spoke of the Church in terms of His name and His gospel, not in terms of buildings, budgets, or membership metrics.

3 Nephi 27:8 — “And how be it my church save it be called in my name? For if a church be called in Moses’ name then it be Moses’ church; or if it be called in the name of a man then it be the church of a man; but if it be called in my name then it is my church…”

The Kingdom of God is not measured by how many temples we own, but by how many hearts are His.

๐Ÿ“– The Nemenhah Witness

The Nemenhah Records warn repeatedly about the danger of replacing stewardship with control, and consecration with accumulation.

Nemenhah, Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14:72–74 — “…the strangers did build up their own order… they measured stewardship by the weight of silver, and called this prosperity… but the Lord did not count it so, for they sought not the welfare of Zion, but the welfare of their own order.”

The Nemenhah people understood that Zion’s treasury was not to be hoarded but poured out upon the poor. Their leaders were mothers, fathers, and servants — not executives.

๐Ÿบ Biblical Pattern

Even in the Old Testament, God warned His people about choosing a man-made system over divine rule.

1 Samuel 8:7 — “They have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.”

Israel wanted a king — a visible leader, a central administration — when God had already given them His voice through prophets and judges.
The result was predictable: bureaucracy, taxation, corruption… and eventual captivity.

๐Ÿ•Š️ The Test Today

The test in our time is the same: Will we follow the living Christ, or will we substitute corporate loyalty for Kingdom citizenship?

Mosiah 18:9 — “Stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things…”

Being a witness of God does not mean defending every policy, program, or public statement of an earthly institution. It means standing with Christ, even if it costs us comfort, reputation, or belonging.

❤️ How to Keep the Kingdom First

  1. Seek His voice daily — through scripture, prayer, and listening for the Spirit.

  2. Measure success by love — not by growth charts or building projects.

  3. Live consecration now — share your substance, serve in secret, lift the broken.

  4. Gather spiritually before physically — Zion begins in the heart before it gathers in a place.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Final Witness

The Kingdom of God is not a corporation.
It is the reign of Christ in the hearts of His people.
When the organization serves the Kingdom, it is a good servant.
When it replaces the Kingdom, it becomes a stumbling block.

Let us remember the order of things:

Matthew 6:33 — “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

When the Lamb reigns, Zion flourishes. When the ledger reigns, Zion withers.
We choose, every day, which kingdom we are building.
