πΏ THE COVENANT STILL STANDS — BLESSINGS OR CURSES, OUR CHOICE
π₯ Watch Nick’s heartfelt message here:
Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28 – Blessings and Curses Explained (YouTube)
π THE ANCIENT TERMS STILL APPLY
Nick walks through the covenant God made with Israel:
“If ye walk in my statutes … I will give you rain in due season.”
But if we turn away—“I will set my face against you.”
He reminds us this wasn’t just history.
It’s the same covenant rhythm pulsing through time:
obedience brings peace, rebellion brings famine of both bread and spirit.
π₯ BLESSINGS THROUGH OBEDIENCE
Leviticus 26:3-12 – God promises fruit, safety, and His dwelling among us.
Deuteronomy 28:1-14 – “Blessed shalt thou be in the city … and in the field.”
Book of Mormon echo: Mosiah 2:22 – “If ye keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you in the land.”
Nemenhah reflection: Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14 teaches that Zion’s peace endures only when “the people remember the Peacemaker in all their dealings and consecrate their increase unto the poor.”
Obedience isn’t about ritual perfection—it’s walking humbly, hearing His voice, living in covenant rhythm.
⚠️ CURSES THROUGH REBELLION
When hearts harden, the covenant flips:
drought replaces rain, fear replaces peace.
Deuteronomy 28:15-68 paints the descent—disease, division, captivity.
π 2 Nephi 1:20 declares,
“Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper … otherwise ye shall be cut off.”
πͺΆ Nemenhah – Book of Mohrhohnahyah Ch. 8 warns that when the people of peace forget their stewardship,
“The land withdraweth her abundance, and the people cry for bread though their storehouses overflow with silver.”
Doesn’t that sound like us today—overflowing wealth, but starving souls?
π MODERN MIRROR
Nick’s message hits close to home.
We see nations divided, families crumbling, creation groaning.
The earth herself cries for a Sabbath.
The Lord told Israel the land would rest—one way or another.
Even our economy reflects the curse: endless debt, overwork, and empty hearts.
These are spiritual famines—signs that we’ve forgotten who gives the rain.
π THE DOOR OF MERCY
Yet mercy remains.
Leviticus 26:40-42 – “If they shall confess their iniquity … then will I remember my covenant.”
The Book of Mormon agrees:
“As often as my people repent, will I forgive them.” (Mosiah 26:30)
And The Nemenhah Records add:
“The Peacemaker remembereth His covenant and turneth not away the penitent heart.” (Ayahtkuhyaht Nemenhah Ch. 7)
There’s always a path home.
Confession. Humility. Return.
π¬ REFLECTION
Maybe that’s why Nick’s voice feels so sincere—because he’s calling us to remember the covenant that’s already written on our hearts.
The Lord hasn’t changed the terms.
We still choose daily between the blessing and the curse.
Between hearing the Voice and following the robe.
The covenant still stands.
So does the mercy.
