๐ THE LIFE OF CHRIST — AND THE LIFE HE AWAKENS IN US
๐ THE LIFE OF CHRIST — AND THE LIFE HE AWAKENS IN US
Why This Message Became My Mission — And Why These Videos Exist
๐️ A Tender Story That Changed My Heart
Years ago, someone close to my family lived a journey that marked me forever.
My nephew’s wife battled Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).
Seven years.
Seven years of the body failing… while the spirit opened like a flower.
In that bed she learned the scriptures in a way most of us never taste —
not through leaders, not through manuals, but through the whisper of the Spirit alone.
During those years she became friends with the wife of the man who wrote a humble little record called The Life of Christ.
Through that friendship she brought this book into our family.
When I first read it… I knew the Lord had placed it in my path.
It did something inside me.
Something deep.
It woke up a memory of the Savior that I’d almost forgotten.
And judging by the response — 16,000+ views now, and nearly 500 blogs written — this message has touched many of you as well.
More than almost anything else I’ve ever shared.
This is why I now know:
This message is my calling.
The Lord is steering these videos in one direction —
teaching His people to hear His voice again.
๐ถ Jesus — A Child Like Us
The scriptures teach this plainly — but we often pass right over it.
Jesus came the same way we did.
A manger.
A stable.
The cold night.
Animals breathing in the shadows.
Mary held Him.
Mary fed Him.
She changed Him.
She soothed Him.
She raised Him.
He grew.
He learned.
He scraped His knees.
He fetched water.
He laughed.
He played with His brothers and sisters.
He asked questions.
He worked with Joseph.
He felt hunger, joy, sorrow, fatigue, and warmth.
He was one of us.
And the Nemenhah Records confirm it again and again:
“He took upon Him the weakness of all flesh,
that He might know how to succor all who cry unto Him.”
— Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14
He walked our path so that we could learn to walk His.
๐ The Moment That Broke Me Open
One scene in The Life of Christ stopped me cold.
When the Savior began to sense His mission…
He didn’t run ahead of His Father.
He asked.
He sought permission to bless.
Permission to heal.
Permission to speak.
Even when the Father gave Him the sealing power,
He asked how… when… and in what manner to use it.
Think of that.
If the Son of God walked that humbly…
how should we walk with the little authority we’re given?
True priesthood — the real thing — isn’t about titles or hierarchy.
It is about:
• love
• gentleness
• persuasion
• long-suffering
• sacrifice
• a broken heart before Heaven
Exactly the life the Savior lived.
๐ฟ Jesus’ Personality — Warm, Joyful, Full of Light
The PDF shows a side of Jesus we sometimes forget:
His humor.
His compassion.
His warm eyes.
His patience with children.
His peace in poverty.
His joy in simple things.
He wasn’t marble.
He wasn’t distant.
He wasn’t cold.
He was a living, breathing Brother —
the Elder Brother, as the Nemenhah call Him:
“He is the Lamb who walks with His people.
He is no stranger, but the Elder Brother.”
— Mahnti 8
He loved with the full fire of the Father.
He hugged lepers.
He knelt with the lonely.
He laughed with fishermen.
He listened.
He wept.
He forgave.
He healed.
And He still does.
๐ฟ “I Am the Vine — Ye Are the Branches”
Christ said:
“I am the vine, ye are the branches…
without Me ye can do nothing.”
— John 15:5
Without Him:
our branches bear no fruit
our prayers have no power
our lives lose purpose
our souls lose peace
This is why this message has resonated so deeply —
because it calls us out of borrowed faith.
Not a prophet’s light.
Not a church’s light.
Not a manual’s light.
His light.
His voice.
His Spirit.
His teaching.
The Nemenhah say it simply:
“Do not follow the robe — follow the Voice.”
— Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14 (paraphrased)
Every true path leads back to Him.
๐ฅ Why This Blog — and These Videos — Exist
When I finished reading The Life of Christ, something stirred inside me.
It was hope.
It was joy.
It was a remembrance of who He really is —
and who we really are.
I realized:
• He truly is like us
• We truly are children of God
• He grew into His mission step by step
• We must do the same
• Revelation must come from God — not man
• The Spirit is the true interpreter of scripture
• Christ desires to personally teach His people
• He still speaks to anyone who will hear
And I knew the Lord was saying:
“Teach them to hear Me.
Teach them to get their own light.”
This is why I’m creating these videos —
simple little six-minute messages
every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday —
inviting all of us to walk with the Savior again.
Not as an idea.
Not as a tradition.
But as a living, breathing Friend.
