๐ญ THE GREAT CONTRADICTION
For more than sixty years, I trusted what I was taught — and I don’t regret one minute of it.
The gospel of Jesus Christ changed my life. It made me a better man, husband, and father.
But somewhere along the way, something shifted.
The church that once taught us to live humbly, to give to the poor, to flee from riches — began to build malls, hoard billions, and talk less and less about mammon or priestcraft.
And that’s not just my opinion.
It’s written right there in the scriptures they once had us memorize:
“No man can serve two masters… Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
— Matthew 6:24 / 3 Nephi 13:24
๐ฐ SILENCE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS
Did you know that in over forty years of General Conference, the words “mammon” and “priestcraft” have not been spoken once?
Not once.
Yet they appear again and again in the Book of Mormon, which was given for our day:
“Priestcrafts are that men preach and set themselves up for a light… that they may get gain and praise of the world.”
— 2 Nephi 26:29
Meanwhile, the scriptures say that when Zion truly comes, “there will be no poor among them.”
But today, there’s no poor among the leaders — only the people.
The video calls this what it is: hypocrisy.
The Greek word for hypocrite means “actor.”
Someone who plays a part — says the lines but doesn’t live them.
And that’s what struck me the hardest:
Have our leaders become actors on a stage, reading lines about Christ while secretly trusting in gold?
๐ช THE PROPHETS SAW THIS DAY
This isn’t new.
Isaiah saw it:
“Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards.”— Isaiah 1:23
Ezekiel warned it:
“Her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar… saying, Peace; when there is no peace.” — Ezekiel 13:10
And in the Nemenhah Records, the Peacemaker warned that in the last days even the stewards of His restored work would grow rich and proud — that the Lord would yet use them to spread His word, but their hearts would turn to Pahbaylohn (Babylon).
“For the Lord did use them, for they were industrious and organized, but their hearts turned to the gain of the world.”
— Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14
๐ MY OWN WRESTLE
I’ll be honest — this was hard.
I’ve been in the church over sixty years.
I’ve sung the hymns, served in callings, paid tithing, raised my family in faith.
So when I first learned about the billions in secret accounts, the luxury projects, and the silence about it all… it hurt.
But then came a still, small voice — not from the pulpit, but from the Savior Himself:
“Follow Me.”
And that’s when everything changed.
I realized that getting angry at what I’d been taught wouldn’t help anyone.
But following His voice — that’s where healing begins.
๐ฅ THE AWAKENING
There comes a point when we all must choose between the robe and the Voice.
Between the stage and the Spirit.
Between the institution and the invitation.
Christ never said, “Follow the Church.”
He said, “Follow Me.”
When you hear His voice, the fear starts to fade.
The deception loses its hold.
And suddenly, you see — the Savior was never hiding behind marble walls or corporate offices.
He’s been walking beside you the whole time.
๐️ THE CALL BACK TO ZION
Zion is not built by hoarding riches, but by sharing them.
It’s not managed by corporations, but by consecrated hearts.
As the Nemenhah teach:
“The people of Zion live in one accord, and no one possesses that which is another’s… all things are common among them.”
— Book of Mohrhohnahyah 4:10
So maybe this awakening — painful as it is — is part of the Lord’s plan.
To separate Babylon’s gold from Zion’s heart.
To remind us what holiness actually looks like.
๐ THE FINAL WARNING
“What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
— Mark 8:36
That’s not just a verse for Wall Street.
It’s a verse for all of us — especially those who claim to represent God while clinging to Mammon’s purse.
Let’s not get angry — let’s get awake.
Let’s not curse the Church — let’s follow the Christ.
๐ CLOSING REFLECTION
I still love my brothers and sisters in the LDS Church.
Most are sincere and good-hearted.
But the Lord is calling us to something higher — to hear His voice above all others, and to walk the path of Zion, not Babylon.
Because in the end, the real question is not “Who leads the Church?”
The question is: Who leads you?
