✨ ✨ “Sealing, Sealing… Who Can Explain the Sealing?”

✨ Those Who Walk With Jesus —  ✨
“Sealing, Sealing… Who Can Explain the Sealing?”

📝 Their Message (Summary)
In January 2020, Elder Holland stood before saints in Peru, trying to explain sealings. A widow. A remarriage. Children born to a second husband. And then came his words:

“I don’t have the slightest idea.”

Not about the widows. Not about the children. Not about the sealings.

Elder Oaks has said the same. “I don’t know how it works.”

The temple presidents shrug, the sealers are instructed to remain silent. Apostles point to the heavens and say: “Trust the Lord. He’ll work it out.”

But does this sound like the work of prophets, seers, and revelators?

Mosiah taught that a Seer makes “secret things manifest” and reveals “things which otherwise could not be known.” (Mosiah 8:17).

Nephi taught that the spirit of prophecy makes things plain. Even Isaiah is plain to those filled with that spirit (2 Ne. 25:4).

Amos taught that the Lord does nothing but He reveals it to His prophets (Amos 3:7).

Yet the sealing — the very ordinance we are told is the center of exaltation — is left in fog, confusion, and silence.

If the house of God is a house of order, and not of confusion (D&C 132:8) — then why is His supposed “highest ordinance” the most confusing doctrine of all?

🔥 My Reflection
I write this not out of bitterness, but out of grief. Out of love for the flock that has been scattered. Out of sorrow for those who leave the Church… and then leave Jesus too.

I’ve watched friends walk away, saying:
“If the leaders lied, then God must be a lie too.”
And my heart breaks.

Because even if the Church crumbles — Christ remains.

Even if every sealing ceremony is confusion — the Covenant in His blood is clear.

Even if every shepherd fails — the Good Shepherd never will.

Ezekiel prophesied against shepherds who fed themselves and not the flock (Ezekiel 34). Who clothed themselves with the wool, but left the sheep to wander. Who said “peace, peace” while the hedge fell down.

The Lord Himself declared: “I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.” (Ezek. 34:10).

📖 Scriptures to Ponder

  • Mosiah 8:15–17 — “A seer… makes things known which otherwise could not be known.”

  • 2 Nephi 25:4 — “The words are plain to those filled with the spirit of prophecy.”

  • Amos 3:7 — “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.”

  • Ezekiel 34 (entire chapter) — Woe to the shepherds who feed themselves, and not the flock.

  • Proverbs 4:23 — “Above all else, guard your heart.”

🕊️ The Invitation
If you are disillusioned — don’t throw away Jesus.
If you’ve discovered the flaws of men — don’t conclude that God must also be false.
If you feel confused — step away from the fog of men and walk toward the One who makes all things plain.

Jesus is not confusing.
Jesus is not silent.
Jesus is not a “sometimes” answer.

He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Come to Him. He will never leave you in mystery about whether He has received you. His Spirit confirms. His voice pierces. His arms gather.

Above all else — let Jesus catch your heart.
