“Why Jesus Sometimes Feels Silent — And How to Break Through”

(Based on Video #5 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)

Hello friends.
Just an old voice from the sticks again…
someone who’s had long nights, dry prayers, and seasons when heaven felt a mile away —
and yet somehow, every time, Jesus showed up again. πŸ•Š️

Today we’re talking about something sacred:

Why the Savior sometimes feels silent…
and how you can break through and hear Him again.

Because Video 5 is tender.
It’s honest.
It’s raw.
And it’s something every disciple experiences, even the strongest ones.

Let’s walk it out together.

πŸŒ‘ 1) The Silence of God Is Not the Absence of God

There are moments when you pray…
and nothing.

You listen…
nothing.

You open the scriptures…
still nothing.

But here’s the truth the scriptures shout from every page:

Silence is a classroom, not a punishment.

David cried:

“Why standest Thou afar off, O Lord?”
— Psalm 10:1

Nephi cried:

“O Lord, wilt Thou not shut the gates of Thy righteousness before me?”
— 2 Nephi 4:31

Even Jesus cried:

“My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
— Matthew 27:46

Every disciple walks this valley.
Not to suffer…
but to grow eyes to see Him more clearly.

πŸ”₯ 2) Heaven’s Silence Often Comes Right Before Heaven’s Breakthrough

This is one of the biggest truths in scripture:

Before revelation → silence
Before vision → silence
Before calling → silence
Before comfort → silence

The Nemenhah Records say:

“Often He withdraws His voice that we may learn to choose Him.”

It’s not abandonment.
It’s preparation.

God isn’t gone.
He’s just teaching you to recognize His voice when it returns —
with ten times more clarity.

πŸšͺ 3) We Break Through the Silence by Returning to the Basics

Video 5 lays out the simple, holy pattern that unlocks heaven again:

A) Speak His name

Not fancy prayers.
Not flowery words.
Just:

“Jesus… I’m here.”

B) Slow down

You can’t hear a whisper at full speed.

C) Open your scriptures

The Book of Mormon says:

“Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost;
wherefore, they speak the words of Christ.”

— 2 Nephi 32:3

Which means:
The scriptures ARE the voice of Christ.
Even when you feel nothing, keep reading.

D) Do the last thing He told you

Most silence comes because we stopped acting on what we already heard.

Do the last whisper —
and He’ll send the next one.

πŸ‘£ 4) God Is Training You for the Days Ahead

Whether we like it or not,
we are entering the days the prophets warned about:

A Great Shaking.
A sifting.
A dividing.
A remnant rising.

The saints who endure will be those who can hear Jesus in the dark…
not just in the sunshine.

The Nemenhah Records teach:

“The Peacemaker prepares His people to stand without the arm of flesh.”

That’s exactly what the silence does.
It weans you off borrowed light
and teaches you to stand in your own lamp…
filled with oil you got directly from Him.

πŸ’‘ 5) The Silence Teaches You the Signature of His Voice

When the quiet finally breaks —
and it always does —
you’ll know it’s Him because:

His voice always brings…

• Peace
• Calm
• Clarity
• Love
• Light
• Direction
• Courage
• Correction without shame
• Hope without fear

Jesus never screams.
Never manipulates.
Never pressures.
Never condemns.

His sheep know His voice —
and silence sharpens that knowing.

πŸ“ 6) Write What You Hear — Even If It’s Small

This is a key teaching from this video.

If all you hear is:

“Peace.”
“I’m here.”
“Keep going.”
“Trust Me.”

Write it down.

Those little things become big things later.
Those little whispers become revelation.
Those little impressions become direction.

And the Book of Mormon says:

“By small means
the Lord doth confound the wise
and bring about great things.”

— Alma 37:6–7

Write the small things —
and the big things will come.

πŸ•Š️ 7) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today

This is the heart of Video 5, summed up:

When God is silent, He is closer than you think.
And the breakthrough is coming.

He has not forgotten you.
He has not abandoned you.
He has not stopped speaking.

He is preparing you.
Teaching you.
Softening you.
Strengthening you.
Transforming you.

And when His voice comes again…
you will know it,
you will feel it,
and you will follow it.

Because it will sound like love.
