๐Ÿช” **ADAM-ONDI-AHMAN — What Really Happened There?

A Spiritual Gathering, Not a Church Conference**
(Bible • Book of Mormon • Doctrine & Covenants • Nemenhah • Pure Revelations)

Hello friends.
It’s just the old man here, sitting on a porch somewhere in the sticks…
thinking about all the things we’ve been told
and all the things the scriptures actually say.

And today we’re going to talk about Adam-ondi-Ahman.

It’s one of the most mysterious doctrines the Saints hold —
and honestly, one of the most misunderstood.

Let’s walk through it slowly.
Let’s breathe.
Let’s let the Lord teach us.

๐ŸŒ„ 1. What Joseph Smith Actually Said

(Spoiler: It’s way simpler than what we hear today.)

Here’s the entire scriptural foundation Joseph gave us:

๐Ÿ“œ D&C 78, 107, 116, 117 — those four sections are it.

What do they teach?

  • Adam gathered his righteous posterity three years before his death.

  • The Lord appeared to them (D&C 107:53–57).

  • Spring Hill, Missouri is named Adam-ondi-Ahman by the Lord (D&C 116).

  • Adam will “visit his people” there.

That’s it.
No tents.
No mega-conference.
No millions of Saints.
No mention of bathrooms, water lines, or pavilions.

Just Adam
the Lord
and a future visitation.

Everything beyond this came after Joseph was gone.

๐Ÿ“˜ 2. What the Bible Actually Says

Daniel 7:13–14

“The Son of Man came to the Ancient of Days.”

Joseph taught that:

  • Adam = Ancient of Days

  • Christ = Son of Man

But Daniel does not describe a giant council on the ground.
He describes a heavenly scene.

A throne.
Books opened.
Judgment given to the saints of God.

This is divine courtroom language — not a Missouri camping trip.

๐Ÿ“– 3. What the Book of Mormon Says

This part surprises people.

The Book of Mormon — the book written “for our day” — says:

❌ Nothing about Adam-ondi-Ahman
❌ Nothing about Missouri
❌ Nothing about a mass gathering of millions
❌ Nothing about a global priesthood roll call
❌ Nothing about tents or altars or a huge earthly council

If Adam-ondi-Ahman were the center of the last days,
Nephi, Mormon, and Moroni would have said something.

Instead, they emphasize:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Spiritual gathering
๐Ÿ”ฅ Personal revelation
๐Ÿ”ฅ The remnant of Jacob
๐Ÿ”ฅ Zion, small at first
๐Ÿ”ฅ Angels gathering Israel
๐Ÿ”ฅ The Lord appearing suddenly

(3 Nephi 21, 1 Nephi 22, Ether 13)

This aligns with a spiritual council, not a physical migration.

๐ŸŒฉ️ 4. What Revelation Says (144,000)

The Church rarely talks about this part.

Revelation 7 & Revelation 14

The 144,000:

  • Are sealed in their foreheads

  • Stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb

  • Sing a new song only they can learn

  • Are called “firstfruits” unto God

This is a spiritual priesthood quorum — not a crowd.

And Pure Revelations confirms this:

“The gathering of Adam-ondi-Ahman is a spiritual assembly of the Lord’s servants — not a physical migration of millions.”

No need for porta-potties.
No need for water hookups.
No need for roads and restrooms.

๐Ÿชถ 5. What the Nemenhah Records Say

This is where the light suddenly shines.

The Nemenhah describe:

  • Heavenly councils

  • Translated beings

  • Spiritual gatherings

  • Visitations

  • Small groups, highly prepared

  • Zion built by the humble remnant

Not one text describes:

❌ a mass-movement of millions
❌ a giant outdoor conference
❌ physical city preparation for a global event

They describe spiritual high councils,
people seeing the Peacemaker,
and small fellowships prepared by the Haymehnay (Holy Spirit of Promise).

This matches Revelation 7 far better than modern LDS manuals.

๐Ÿ›️ 6. What About the “Altars” in Missouri?

Look — here’s the honest truth:

Some stones and mounds were found.
Some early leaders said,
“Oh! These are Adam’s altars!”

But…

  • Those stones could easily be Nemenhah.

  • Or Nephite.

  • Or Lamanite.

  • Or Woodland period indigenous sacred spaces.

Nothing in scripture says Adam built those altars.
Nothing in Joseph’s revelations says they came from Adam.

This isn’t heresy.
This is just archaeology.

The land is ancient.
Many peoples lived there.
Including the peoples Joseph said came from Israel.

๐Ÿงญ 7. So Why Does the Church Build Water Lines and Bathrooms There?

A fair question.

Because the modern Church believes:

  • Millions will physically gather there

  • A literal world conference will take place

  • The event is physical, not spiritual

  • The Millennium will begin with a Missouri assembly

  • Adam-ondi-Ahman needs infrastructure

But Joseph didn’t teach that.
The Book of Mormon didn’t teach that.
The Nemenhah didn’t teach that.
Pure Revelations didn’t teach that.
Revelation 7 doesn’t teach that.

The physical preparations reflect a later interpretation,
not the Restoration given through Joseph.

๐Ÿ•Š️ 8. The Simpler, Truer Picture

Here is the thread that runs through every source:

Joseph Smith
The Bible
Revelation
The Book of Mormon
Nemenhah
Pure Revelations

They all describe:

⭐ A SPIRITUAL GATHERING

⭐ A HOLY COUNCIL

⭐ A VISITATION OF THE FATHER OF ALL

⭐ ANGELIC AND TRANSLATED BEINGS

⭐ THE 144,000

⭐ PERSONAL SEALING BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE

⭐ SMALL, PREPARED GROUPS

⭐ GREAT POWER, NOT GREAT NUMBERS

The Lord is not staging a pep rally.
He is preparing a council of the pure in heart.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 9. What Does This Mean For Us?

It means:

  • We don’t need to move to Missouri.

  • We don’t need to wait for a tent city.

  • We don’t need to count bathrooms.

  • We don’t need to join a crowd.

We need to:

❤️ Hear His voice
๐Ÿ”ฅ Repent
๐Ÿ’ง Enter His covenant
๐Ÿ•Š️ Receive His Spirit
๐ŸŒพ Become one of His servants
๐Ÿ”’ Get sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise
๐Ÿช” Walk in the light

Adam-ondi-Ahman is not an event you attend.
It is an identity you grow into.

๐ŸŒŸ 10. The Heart of the Matter

Here is the truth the Spirit keeps whispering:

The gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman begins inside you.
It begins in your obedience.
Your humility.
Your willingness to be taught by the Lord Himself.

The council is not a crowd of millions.
It is a circle of those who have overcome the world
and learned to walk with the Lamb.

A spiritual Zion
of spiritual servants
called spiritually
to do a spiritual work
in the power of the Holy Spirit.

And my friend…
that work has already begun.
