“How to Walk in the Spirit All Day Long — Not Just During Prayer”

(Based on Video #16 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)

Hello friends.
It’s me again…
the old man from the sticks,
just sitting here with my Bible,
my Book of Mormon,
a cup of something warm,
and a heart that’s been learning — slowly and stubbornly —
what it really means to walk in the Spirit.

Not just for five minutes in the morning.
Not just during scripture time.
Not just when you kneel to pray.

But all day long.

That’s the whole focus of Video 16:

How do you stay connected to Jesus
in the middle of real life —
when the dishes, the stress, the noise, and the people
all start to crowd Him out?

Let’s walk this one together.

πŸŒ… 1) Walking in the Spirit Is a Mindset — Not a Mood

Most people think “walking in the Spirit”
means having spiritual goosebumps all day long.

Nope.

Paul said:

“Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

— Galatians 5:16

He didn’t say “feel” the Spirit.
He said walk.

That means:

• a direction
• a posture
• a habit
• a mindset
• a way of seeing the world

Walking in the Spirit is not emotion —
it’s alignment.

🌬 2) The Spirit Walks With You in the Ordinary

This is the heart of Video 16.

The Spirit doesn’t just show up
in burning bushes and mountaintops.

He walks with you:

• in the kitchen
• in the car
• in the store
• in the quiet moments
• in the arguments
• in the errands
• in the noise
• in the silence

The Nemenhah Records say:

“The Peacemaker walks with the one
who remembers Him in small things.”

That’s where the walk becomes daily.
Natural.
Effortless.
Real.

Not a special event —
a way of life.

πŸ’ 3) To Walk in the Spirit, Keep a Jesus Thought Close

Video 16 teaches something simple and powerful:

Keep one Jesus thought in your mind
and return to it throughout the day.

Just one.

Like:

• “Jesus, walk with me.”
• “Lord, help me see You.”
• “Guide my steps today.”
• “Speak, Lord — I’m listening.”
• “Hold my heart steady.”
• “Thank You for being here.”

This becomes an anchor.

The Book of Mormon says:

“Let your hearts be directed unto the Lord.”
— Alma 37:36

Not occasionally.
Continually.

One little Jesus thought
will hold your soul steady all day long.

πŸ•Š 4) Walking in the Spirit Means Checking In Often

In this video, you teach something people need to hear:

It’s not about long prayers —
it’s about frequent connection.

A few seconds.
A quiet breath.
A simple glance heavenward.

That’s enough to reset your spiritual compass.

The closer you check in,
the stronger the walk becomes.

The scriptures describe this as:

“Pray without ceasing.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Not long, heavy prayers —
but little heart-turns
hundreds of times a day.

πŸ”₯ 5) The Spirit Stays With You When You Choose Peace Over Reactivity

If you want to walk in the Spirit…

✔ Slow down your reactions

✔ Speak softly

✔ Pause before responding

✔ Let the Spirit check your words

✔ Choose kindness

✔ Choose humility

✔ Choose gentleness

Because the Spirit is gentle.
And He stays where gentleness dwells.

The Book of Mormon says:

“The Spirit of the Lord did not dwell with them
because of contention.”

— 3 Nephi 11:29

If you protect your peace…
you protect your connection.

🧭 6) Listening All Day Matters More Than Perfect Scripture Study

This surprises people.

Scripture time is sacred.
Prayer time is essential.

But the purpose of scripture and prayer
is to learn how to walk with Him
the other 23 hours of the day.

Walking in the Spirit means:

• listening for His nudges
• noticing His warnings
• feeling His promptings
• obeying His whispers
• trusting His quiet guidance
• staying aware of His presence

That’s why the Savior told His disciples:

“Abide in Me.”
— John 15:4

Not visit.
Not check in once.
Abide.

Stay.

Dwell.

Remain.

🌀 7) Walking in the Spirit Makes Even Hard Days Holy

This is one of the most beautiful truths of Video 16:

When you walk in the Spirit…

• hard days become bearable
• boring tasks become meaningful
• decisions become clearer
• temptations lose power
• relationships soften
• your heart becomes calmer
• your steps become guided

The Nemenhah say:

“The one who walks in remembrance of the Peacemaker
walks in light.”

The storm may still be raging,
but your soul is not.

πŸ•Š️ 8) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today

Here’s the entire message of Video 16
in one simple, beautiful line:

“I want to walk with you all day —
not just when you kneel.”

He is not a morning appointment
or an evening ritual.

He is a companion
for every step of your life.

He doesn’t just bless your prayers.
He blesses your walking.

And He’s inviting you
to walk with Him today.

One breath at a time.
One thought at a time.
One step at a time.
