πŸ”₯ THE WAY OF THE PEACEMAKER — WHEN FEAR BECOMES OUR ENEMY

🌿 THE WAY OF THE PEACEMAKER — WHEN FEAR BECOMES OUR ENEMY

πŸ•Š️ “Fear not, little flock, for the Peacemaker goeth before you.” — Nemenhah Records, Book of Hayihnmeht 5 (reflection)
πŸ“œ “They who are in the service of the Prince of Peace must not learn war any more.” — Isaiah 2:4; 2 Nephi 12:4
πŸ”₯ “Perfect love casteth out all fear.” — 1 John 4:18

πŸŒ„ A Morning Reminder from the Record of Hayihnmeht

Such a beautiful reminder this morning.
The words of Hayihnmeht through Brother Wellamotkin bring a deep sense of calm — a gentle call back to the Way of the Peacemaker.

This ancient prophet saw what happens when good people allow fear to rule their hearts.
They built armies “for safety.” They trained their youth to obey “superiors.” They justified violence “for defense.”
And in doing so, they lost the very peace they sought to protect.

“We are on the brink of war because we spent so much of our strength attempting to prevent it.”
— Book of Hayihnmeht 5:23

That single line pierces like truth in our own time.
We, too, live in an age where fear has become our teacher — fear of nations, fear of neighbors, fear of being wrong, fear of losing control.
The prophet’s lament sounds eerily current: the moment we begin to defend what was once peaceful, the war has already begun — within us.

⚖️ The Peacemaker’s Lesson

The Peacemaker taught that peace is not the absence of conflict — it’s the presence of trust.
It’s faith strong enough to choose love when fear demands control.

“He who liveth by the sword shall perish by the sword.” — Matthew 26:52
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

The Nemenhah prophets echo the same:

“The Peacemaker calleth unto all people, saying, ‘Put down thy weapons and take up thy brother.’” — Ayahtkuhyaht Nemenhah 14

Strength in the kingdom of the Peacemaker is never measured by armies or councils, but by quiet courage — the willingness to trust peace itself.
True Zion cannot be built on fear. It must be founded in love, consecration, and the oneness of hearts.

🌾 Fear, Faith, and the Modern Soul

Look around our day:

  • Nations justify endless armament “for peace.”

  • Churches fortify themselves against “apostasy.”

  • Families build walls to keep hurt out — and in doing so, love out too.

The record of Hayihnmeht is more than history; it’s a mirror.
It shows how fear reshapes everything it touches — until even worship becomes defense.

But the Peacemaker whispers a better way:

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.” — John 14:27

That peace begins the moment we choose to trust Him more than our fears.

πŸ’¬ A Gentle Reflection

“This prophet’s words remind us how quietly fear can shape both nations and hearts, until we begin to defend what was once peaceful.
He shows that true strength is not in the sword or the council, but in the quiet courage to trust peace itself.
I’m simply grateful for the light shared here — and for the gentle reminder that the Way of the Peacemaker still leads us home.”
