๐ŸŒฟ Walking With Jesus — Not Just Hearing Him

(Companion Blog for Video 21)

๐Ÿ“บ Companion Video 21 — Talk With Jesus Daily
You can watch the video here:

If you haven’t watched the video yet, I recommend starting there.
This blog is for those who like to sit with it a little longer, open the scriptures, and let things settle quietly.

There comes a point in a person’s spiritual life when something changes.

Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
And usually without anyone else noticing.

For a long time, many of us focus on hearing Jesus
learning His voice,
sorting out what is Him and what is not.

That matters.
It matters deeply.

But eventually, something softer begins to happen.

You stop chasing the voice
and start walking with the Person.

And that walk doesn’t always look the way we expected.

๐ŸŒฑ When the Walk Gets Quieter

Many people assume that walking with Jesus means:

• constant reassurance
• constant spiritual emotion
• constant clarity

But scripture teaches a gentler truth.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
(Psalm 46:10)

Stillness is not absence.
Quiet is not abandonment.

Often, quiet is what comes after trust has been formed.

The Lord doesn’t need to shout once you’re walking beside Him.

๐Ÿ“– Jesus Walks With People — He Doesn’t Rush Them

When you read the Gospels slowly, you notice something about Jesus.

He didn’t hurry people into understanding.

He walked with fishermen.
He walked with sinners.
He walked with the confused.
He even walked with those who didn’t yet recognize who He was.

“And Jesus went with them.”
(Luke 7:6)

That short sentence says a lot.

He goes with us —
not ahead of us,
not pushing,
not pressuring.

๐ŸŒฟ The Book of Mormon: A Walk Made of Small Steps

The Book of Mormon quietly teaches this same pattern.

King Benjamin’s people didn’t just hear truth — they allowed it to shape how they lived.

“They were willing to enter into a covenant… to be obedient… in all things.”
(Mosiah 5:5)

Notice what’s missing.

No demand for spiritual excitement.
No requirement to understand everything.

Just willingness.
Just a steady walk forward.

Later, Alma teaches something that fits this walk perfectly:

“By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.”
(Alma 37:6)

Walking with Jesus is built from small steps, not big performances.

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Nemenhah Records: The Way Is Lived

The Nemenhah teachings speak often of the Way, not just belief or knowledge.

The Peacemaker does not force the path.
He invites it.

Those who walk the Way are taught that peace comes through right living, not loud declaration — and that the Haymehnay (Holy Spirit) trains the heart gently, over time, until walking with the Peacemaker becomes natural.

Truth is not rushed into the soul.
It is walked into.

๐ŸŒฑ When You’re Not Hearing Much Anymore

This is important, especially if you’re worried.

If you’re in a season where:

• prayer feels simpler
• scripture feels quieter
• the emotional “highs” have faded

You may not be losing ground.

You may be learning trust.

Jesus said it plainly:

“My sheep hear my voice… and they follow me.”
(John 10:27)

First comes hearing.
Then comes following.

Following doesn’t always feel dramatic.

Sometimes it feels like rest.
Sometimes it feels like letting go of needing answers.

๐Ÿ•Š️ One Quiet Fruit of Walking With Jesus

When someone truly begins walking with Jesus, something else happens.

They stop needing to convince everyone else.

Jesus never asked His followers to win arguments.
He asked them to love.

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
(John 13:35)

If your walk has made you calmer…
gentler…
less reactive…

That’s not backsliding.

That’s fruit.

๐ŸŒฟ A Simple Invitation

If you’re here right now, reading this,
you don’t need to do anything special.

No new program.
No new system.
No new teacher.

Just keep walking.

If you hear Him, listen.
If you don’t, keep holding His hand anyway.

That’s faith.
That’s trust.
That’s the walk.
