๐ŸŒฟ Walking With Jesus When Old Beliefs Fall Away

If you haven’t watched the video yet, I suggest starting there.
This blog is for those moments when beliefs are shifting and you want to sit with the scriptures quietly, without being rushed toward conclusions.

There comes a time in many people’s walk with Jesus when
old beliefs begin to loosen.

Not all at once.
Not in rebellion.
Not because of sin.

But because you’re growing.

And when that happens, it can feel unsettling.

Things that once felt solid start to feel uncertain.
Answers you leaned on don’t carry the same weight.
And you may wonder if something has gone wrong.

But sometimes…
nothing has gone wrong at all.

๐ŸŒฑ Growth Often Involves Letting Go

Jesus never promised that everything we believed early on would stay the same.

He did promise to stay with us.

He said:

“When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.”
(John 16:13)

Guiding implies movement.

And movement often means leaving something behind.

Not because it was evil —
but because it was incomplete.

๐Ÿ“– Even the Disciples Had to Let Go

The disciples walked with Jesus for years,
and still had to release old expectations.

They expected power.
They expected position.
They expected clarity.

Instead, they were given trust…
and a cross…
and a long road of learning.

After the resurrection, Jesus said to them:

“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.”
(John 16:12)

Some truth comes later.
When the heart is ready.

๐ŸŒฟ The Book of Mormon: Line Upon Line

The Book of Mormon teaches this pattern clearly.

Truth unfolds gradually.

“For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line… here a little and there a little.”
(2 Nephi 28:30)

When old beliefs fall away, it doesn’t mean truth is disappearing.

It often means new understanding is being prepared.

Letting go is part of receiving.

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Nemenhah Records: Walking Beyond Forms

The Nemenhah teachings speak openly about this stage of the walk.

The elders teach that many begin the Way by learning forms, stories, and traditions — but those who continue must eventually walk by living truth, not inherited structure.

The Peacemaker does not tear beliefs away violently.
They fall away when the soul no longer needs them.

What remains is what is real.

The Haymehnay (Holy Spirit) keeps what draws the heart closer to the Peacemaker — and quietly releases what no longer serves.

๐ŸŒฑ When It Feels Like the Ground Is Shifting

If you’re in a place where:

• beliefs feel unsettled
• certainty feels weaker
• old answers don’t satisfy

You are not broken.

You are likely being invited deeper.

Paul described this kind of faith:

“When I was a child, I spake as a child… but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
(1 Corinthians 13:11)

Putting something away does not mean it was false.

It means you’ve grown.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Walking With Jesus Without Needing It All Settled

One of the quiet fruits of walking with Jesus is learning to move forward without everything resolved.

You don’t need a new belief system.
You don’t need instant clarity.
You don’t need to replace every answer.

You need Him.

If you’re still choosing honesty…
still choosing humility…
still choosing love…

You are walking with Jesus — even if your beliefs are rearranging.

๐ŸŒฟ A Gentle Encouragement

If old beliefs are falling away, don’t panic.

Don’t rush to rebuild.
Don’t cling out of fear.

Stay close to the Savior.

He knows how to guide a heart through change without losing itself.

He doesn’t abandon people mid-journey.
