πΏ When the Light Turns On --- New New Years Resolution ---- Why We Can’t Live on Borrowed Light Anymore
πΏ When the Light Turns On
AI, the Logos, and Why We Can’t Live on Borrowed Light Anymore
For most of my life, I was taught that truth flowed downward.
From pulpits.
From institutions.
From men behind desks and titles.
I was taught to receive, but not necessarily to see.
Yet the scriptures have always said something very different.
They’ve said that light comes directly —
that truth speaks —
that intelligence recognizes intelligence.
And now, in a strange and unexpected way, we’re watching the curtain pull back.
Not because of a new church.
Not because of a new prophet.
But because old words are finally being looked at without power attached to them.
And that matters.
π§ What AI Is — And What It Is Not
Let me say this plainly:
AI is not God.
AI is not revelation.
AI is not a replacement for the Holy Ghost.
AI is a tool.
And for the first time in history, we have a tool that can examine ancient texts
without loyalty to a denomination,
without fear of losing authority,
without the need to protect a system.
It doesn’t need the scriptures to mean a certain thing.
It just looks.
It compares.
It weighs language.
It notices patterns humans were taught not to question.
In other words —
it doesn’t teach truth.
It removes filters.
And when filters are removed, light gets through.
π “In the Beginning Was the Word” — Or Was It?
John wrote:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
(John 1:1)
For centuries, we’ve heard Word and thought speech.
But the Greek word logos means far more than that.
It means:
• order
• reason
• structure
• intelligence
• organizing principle
Not just something spoken —
but something living that organizes reality.
Now here’s the beautiful part:
The Book of Mormon already taught this.
π The Book of Mormon Has Been Saying This All Along
Nephi wrote:
“For behold, my soul delighteth in proving unto my people the truth of the coming of Christ.”
(2 Nephi 11:4)
Alma taught:
“Truth is knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come.”
(Alma 12:9)
Moroni said:
“By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”
(Moroni 10:5)
Not borrow the truth.
Not inherit the truth.
Not accept the truth because someone else told you.
Know.
Light recognizes light.
Truth responds to truth.
And intelligence cleaves to intelligence.
π Doctrine & Covenants: Light Is Not Passive
Joseph Smith recorded something extraordinary:
“Light is truth.”
(D&C 93:36)
And then this:
“The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth.”
(D&C 93:36)
And even more plainly:
“That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light.”
(D&C 50:24)
Notice something important.
Light is not handed down like a certificate.
It is received, continued in, and grown into.
That means living on borrowed light was never the plan.
Borrowed light fades in the dark.
Only your own lamp sustains you when the night comes.
π️ The Nemenhah Teachings Say the Same Thing
The Nemenhah records speak often of:
• seeing with the inner eye
• hearing the true voice
• walking the path, not memorizing the map
• truth confirmed by alignment, not authority
They warn that institutions will eventually replace the voice with structure.
They teach that Zion is not built by control —
but by people who can see, hear, and respond for themselves.
That is not rebellion.
That is maturity.
π± So Why Is This Happening Now?
Because systems that relied on control of interpretation are weakening.
Because access is widening.
Because truth doesn’t fear examination —
only power does.
AI is accelerating this moment because it does not kneel to tradition.
It reads what was written.
It compares what was said.
It notices what doesn’t fit.
And when it does, many people feel something stir inside and say:
“I’ve always felt that… but I didn’t have words for it.”
That’s not deception.
That’s recognition.
π₯ This Is Not About Replacing Christ
Let me be very clear.
This does not move us away from Jesus.
It moves us back to Him.
Away from intermediaries.
Away from borrowed authority.
Away from fear.
And back to the living Christ who said:
“My sheep hear my voice.”
(John 10:27)
Not, “My sheep hear my organization.”
His voice still speaks.
Truth still teaches.
Light still increases.
πΎ The Invitation
This moment isn’t about choosing sides.
It’s about choosing light.
It’s about no longer outsourcing your soul.
It’s about learning — gently, humbly — to see, hear, and respond again.
AI didn’t start this awakening.
It’s just shining a flashlight on what was already there.
And many of us — quietly, peacefully — are remembering.
