๐ŸŒ„ THE MEDICINE WHEEL & THE ATONEMENT

๐ŸŒ„ THE MEDICINE WHEEL & THE ATONEMENT

Walking With Christ Through Light, Love, Healing, and Oneness

There are seasons when the Lord does not push forward, but gently slows us down.
Moments when He places His hand on our shoulder and says,

“Be still. Let Me do the work.”

This reflection is for one of those seasons.

Many believers spend years trying to understand the Atonement—not just as a doctrine to believe, but as a living experience. Over time, the Lord teaches that His healing is not rushed, mechanical, or abstract. It unfolds patiently, direction by direction, layer by layer.

One way to see this living movement of Christ is through the ancient pattern known as the Medicine Wheel—a simple compass that mirrors how the Savior works within the soul.

๐ŸŸก EAST — Light from Christ

Revelation. Awakening. Seeing clearly.

The journey begins with Light.

Christ brings understanding. He separates truth from tradition and opens the eyes of the heart. This is why moments of genuine spiritual clarity can arise almost anywhere—because Light comes from Him, not from institutions or systems.

Light never asks us to pledge allegiance to structures.
It always points us back to Jesus Himself.

“The Spirit giveth light to every man that cometh into the world.”
— Doctrine of Christ

All healing begins with Light.

๐Ÿ”ด SOUTH — Love and Nurture

Warmth. Comfort. Safety.

After Light comes Love.

This is the place where the soul softens—where fear eases and trust begins to return. Divine nurture prepares the heart to move forward. Without love, truth feels sharp. Without warmth, healing feels unsafe.

Heavenly love creates the conditions where wounded hearts can breathe again.

Without this gentle warmth, few would have the courage to continue the journey.

⚫ WEST — Healing in Christ

Repair. Restoration. Being carried.

The West is the place of healing.

Here, Christ does not stand at a distance. He walks with us. He bears wounds with us. He restores what has been broken—physically, emotionally, spiritually.

Scripture describes this intimacy clearly:

“Ye shall be called the children of Christ… for He hath spiritually begotten you.”
 Mosiah 5:7

In this sense, Christ stands with us as a Father—not replacing the Father, but bringing us safely into the Father’s presence.

This is not symbolic healing.
It is real.
It is personal.
It is tender.

⚪ NORTH — Oneness in the Holy Ghost

Union. Discernment. Shared mind.

The journey completes in the North.

Here, separation fades. The will aligns. The heart and mind come into harmony with God.

Joseph Smith taught:

“The Holy Ghost is the Mind of God.”

When revelation comes, it often feels as though thoughts arrive already formed—clear, calm, and true—because they are shared, not generated.

This is the place of oneness:
not losing oneself,
but becoming aligned.

๐ŸŒ€ THE MEDICINE WHEEL — THE ATONEMENT IN MOTION

When these four directions come together, the Medicine Wheel becomes a living picture of the Atonement:

EAST — Light
SOUTH — Love
WEST — Heal
NORTH — One

This is not a theory.
It is a rhythm.

The Atonement is not rushed. It turns gently, steadily, always inviting rather than forcing.

๐Ÿ•Š WHY SPIRITUAL WARMTH CAN EXIST IN IMPERFECT PLACES

One of the most confusing experiences for many believers is this:

You can feel genuine spiritual warmth in places that also carry error or tradition.

This does not mean God is endorsing everything present. It means He honors sincere hearts.

The Spirit confirms Christ’s truth, not surrounding systems.

Understanding this helps resolve confusion—and restores trust in God’s patience with His children.

๐Ÿ•ฏ THE HOLY GHOST — FAMILY, NOT DISTANT POWER

The Holy Ghost is not an abstract force, nor something foreign to us.

Scripture and sacred tradition describe sanctified spirits—members of the Heavenly Council—who minister, guide, and help carry God’s life into ours and ours back to Him.

This is how the Atonement expands:
not merely rescuing individuals,
but knitting family, heaven, and earth together.

๐ŸŒฑ A SEASON OF RECEIVING

There are times to speak.
And times to simply receive.

Not every truth is meant to be carried outward immediately. Some truths are given to heal, steady, and prepare the soul first.

This is not delay.
It is wisdom.

๐Ÿงญ A SIMPLE DAILY COMPASS

If nothing else is done in a day, this is enough:

Light
Love
Heal
One

Turn the heart through these four directions—and you are already walking with Christ.

The Atonement is not distant.
It is already turning within you.
