A Side-by-Side Witness (With Scripture)

There’s something I’ve come to see…

👉 The Book of Mormon gives the pattern
👉 The Nemenhah Records show a people trying to live it

So instead of arguing…

Let’s just put them side by side and let you decide.

📖 1. Laying Down Weapons (Alma 23–24)

📘 Book of Mormon

“They buried their weapons of war… and they did not fight against God anymore.”
— Alma 23:7

“They took their swords… and they did bury them deep in the earth… and they did covenant… never to use weapons again.”
— Alma 24:17–18

“They would suffer even unto death rather than commit sin.”
— Alma 24:19

👉 These people chose:

  • No violence
  • No revenge
  • Total trust in God

🪶 Nemenhah Records

📄 AYAHTKUHYAHT NEMENHAH — Book of Ordinances & Ceremonies

“Take not up the weapon of blood unless commanded by the Peacemaker… for vengeance is not yours, but His.”

“Better that a man should give his life than take life without the voice of the Haymehnay.”

👉 Same pattern:

  • Do not kill unless directly commanded
  • Trust God to defend
  • Life is sacred

🧭 What This Shows

👉 The Book of Mormon shows the covenant
👉 The Nemenhah describe people trying to live it

📖 2. Letting God Fight Your Battles (Alma 27)

📘 Book of Mormon

“They never did look upon death with any degree of terror… for their hope and view of Christ.”
— Alma 27:28

“The Lord did strengthen them… and they were preserved.”
— Alma 27:22

👉 They didn’t survive by strength…

👉 They survived by trust.

📄 Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm

“Those who walk in peace shall be preserved by unseen hands… and their enemies shall pass them by.”

“Hide yourselves when the destroyer moves upon the land, and let the Peacemaker be your defense.”

👉 Notice this:

  • Not conquering
  • Not dominating
  • Sometimes even withdrawing and hiding

🧭 What This Shows

👉 Zion doesn’t grow through power
👉 It survives through obedience

📖 3. Secret Combinations & Collapse (Helaman)

📘 Book of Mormon

“They did obtain the sole management of the government.”
— Helaman 6:39

“They did overthrow the liberty of the people.”
— Helaman 6:38

“And thus we see… they were ripening for destruction.”
— Helaman 6:40

👉 Pattern:

  • Power consolidates
  • Corruption spreads
  • Society collapses

📄 Book of Mohrhohnahyah

“When the people seek power over one another, the Spirit withdraweth, and destruction followeth swiftly.”

“Nations rise in pride and fall in blood when they forget the Way of Peace.”

👉 Same warning:

  • Pride → Power → Collapse

🧭 What This Shows

👉 The Book of Mormon warns it will happen
👉 The Nemenhah describe it happening again and again

📖 4. The Voice of Christ (3 Nephi 9–11)

📘 Book of Mormon

“Wo unto this people… because of their iniquity… I did cause that there should be great destructions.”
— 3 Nephi 9:2

Then…

“Behold, I am Jesus Christ… I am the light and the life of the world.”
— 3 Nephi 11:10–11

👉 Judgment → then mercy → then personal appearance

📄 Book of Tsi Muhayl

“The voice of the Peacemaker shall be heard among the people… calling them to return before the great desolation.”

“After the cleansing, He shall gather His people and teach them face to face.”

👉 Same pattern:

  • Warning
  • Destruction
  • Gathering
  • Personal relationship with Christ

🧭 What This Shows

👉 Christ doesn’t just lead institutions

👉 He comes to people.

📖 5. Zion Living (4 Nephi)

📘 Book of Mormon

“They had all things common among them.”
— 4 Nephi 1:3

“There was no contention… because of the love of God.”
— 4 Nephi 1:15

👉 Zion =

  • No contention
  • No inequality
  • Love-centered living

🪶 Nemenhah Records

📄 Book of Tsihmlayi

“Let all things be held in common… and let no man say that which he hath is his own.”

“The mothers shall counsel in wisdom, for they are lifegivers… and the people shall be governed in peace.”

👉 Same core:

  • Shared living
  • Peace
  • Women central in life and governance

🧭 What This Shows

👉 Zion is not theoretical

👉 It’s lived.

🪶 Final Thought (Simple)

I’m not asking anyone to accept anything.

I’m not trying to prove anything.

I’m just doing this:

👉 Putting two records side by side

And asking one question:

👉 Do they point you to Christ?

Because for me…

That’s the only test that matters.
