Temple, Consecration, and Hearing the Peacemaker

I’m not writing this to argue.

I’m writing this because I’ve been noticing things.

And instead of pushing them away…

I decided to lay them side by side.

So that anyone—now or later—can look at it and ask:

👉 Does this bring me closer to Christ?

📖 What We’re Comparing

This is simple.

We’re looking at three things:

The LDS Temple Endowment
The Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn (from the Nemenhah)
The Doctrine of Christ
(3 Nephi 11, 2 Nephi 31–32)

🏛️ The Temple — What It Teaches

In the temple, we are given:

A presentation of the Creation and the Fall
Five covenants:
- Obedience
- Sacrifice
- Gospel
- Chastity
- Consecration
Symbolic actions (tokens, signs)
A path back into God’s presence

And at the end:

👉 A promise that we may become
kings and queens and reign with God

📜 The Law of Consecration (The Part That Stayed With Me)

This is where something really hit me.

In the temple, we covenant to give:

👉 Our time
👉 Our talents
👉 Everything we have… or may have

to the Church.

🧠 A Real Moment

I remember sitting with my stake president.

And I asked him:

👉 “Do I need to change my will?”

Because if I just made that covenant…

Shouldn’t that be real?

Shouldn’t that change how I live?

There wasn’t a clear answer.

And I understood why.

Because:

👉 We are not living that right now

All things in common
Stewardship-based living
Community accountability
Spiritual instruction tied to real life

👉 No delay
👉 No “someday”

👉 A relationship

Just things I noticed.

👉 Elohim

A plural word
Used as a singular title

That stood out to me.

👉 Eve

Even with updated wording…

👉 The structure still places her first in the Fall

👉 The Tone

Temple:

👉 “Promise… obey… give…”

Nemenhah:

👉 “Be still… listen… come…”

Christ:

👉 “Come unto me”

🌅 The Consecration Question

This is where everything came together for me.

🏛️ Temple

👉 “You will give everything”

But…

👉 Not now

🌿 Nemenhah

👉 “Live it now”

📖 Christ

“Come, follow me”

👉 No delay
👉 No system barrier

🔥 A Thought I Can’t Shake

If consecration is real…

👉 Why is it not being lived?

If Zion is real…

👉 Why does it feel postponed?

If the covenant is binding…

👉 Why doesn’t it change how we live right now?

🪶 Final (Talking Feather)

I’m not trying to tear anything down.

I know many people in the Church love the Savior deeply.

This is just me saying:

👉 When I line everything up…

👉 The clearest path is still the simplest one

🕊️ The Only Question

Not:

“Which system is right?”

But:

👉 Where do I actually hear Him?

Because if I can hear Him…

He’ll lead me into everything else.
