πΆ♂️ When You’ve Awakened — Where Do You Go Next?
πͺΆ A gentle companion piece for those who see more clearly now… and feel a little unsteady.
π Awakening Changes Things
Awakening changes the way you see.
Things that once felt simple feel complicated.
Things that once felt solid feel shaky.
Questions you never asked before suddenly won’t leave you alone.
For many people, this season brings relief.
For others, it brings grief.
And for almost everyone, it brings uncertainty.
If that’s where you are, let me say this plainly:
You’re not broken.
And you’re not lost.
But you are standing at a crossroads.
⚠️ A Fork in the Road Most People Don’t Notice
After awakening, most people drift in one of two directions.
Some turn outward:
into research
into arguments
into history
into institutions and counter-institutions
Others turn inward:
into fear
into paralysis
into spiritual exhaustion
into silence
Neither path is where scripture is trying to lead us.
There is a quieter third way — and it’s easy to miss.
π£ The Way Scripture Keeps Pointing Us
When scripture doesn’t know what else to say, it says this:
Come unto Christ.
Not:
“Figure everything out first.”
“Choose the correct side.”
“Resolve every contradiction.”
Just… come.
Repentance in scripture is not an argument.
It’s a turning.
Baptism is not a sorting mechanism.
It’s a beginning.
Receiving the Spirit is not a badge.
It’s a relationship.
Awakening is meant to clear your vision —
not replace your walk.
π️ Staying With Jesus in the Middle of Uncertainty
Here’s something I’ve learned quietly, often the hard way:
It is possible to wake up
and slowly walk away from Jesus at the same time.
Not intentionally.
Not rebelliously.
Just… gradually.
When the focus shifts from:
➡️ “How do I walk with Him today?”
to:
➡️ “Where do I land?”
➡️ “Who is right?”
➡️ “What structure do I trust?”
The soul can drift — even while seeking truth.
Jesus doesn’t rush that process.
But He does keep inviting us back to Himself.
π± A Simpler Question That Brings Peace
Instead of asking:
❓ “Where should I go?”
Try asking:
➡️ “How do I stay close to Him today?”
➡️ “What does repentance look like in my real life?”
➡️ “What is He asking me to let go of?”
➡️ “Who am I being invited to love?”
Those questions don’t require certainty.
They require humility.
And humility keeps you near the Savior’s heart.
π§ You Don’t Need a Map Yet
If you’re awake and unsure where you belong, take heart.
Jesus does not require you to:
solve the Restoration
resolve every historical question
declare allegiance
know your final destination
He asks you to:
walk with Him
listen
repent honestly
stay soft
not turn away
He knows how to gather His people.
He knows how to teach them.
He knows how to prepare them.
Your job is not to run ahead.
Your job is to stay with Him.
π€ A Quiet Reassurance
You’re allowed to take this slowly.
You’re allowed to rest.
You’re allowed to not know yet.
You’re allowed to let some questions remain open.
Awakening does not disqualify you.
Uncertainty does not distance you.
Honest seeking does not offend Him.
Just don’t stop walking.
