The Medicine Wheel
πͺΆ What Is the Medicine Wheel — And Why It Matters (Start Here)
Let me say this as plain as I know how.
Because if you don’t understand this…
you’ll miss the whole point of everything I’ve been writing.
The Medicine Wheel is not a new religion.
It’s not a trend.
It’s not something strange or mystical.
π It is a way back.
A way back to hearing the Savior.
πͺΆ A New Series (Start Here)
I’m starting a full series on this.
Not just one post.
π A walk.
There are going to be close to 20 short, simple posts that break this down step by step.
Nothing complicated.
Nothing rushed.
Just a clear path you can actually live.
If you’ve ever felt like:
π “I believe… but I don’t know if I’m really hearing Him…”
This series is for you.
π Moroni — After the War
Let’s start with something real.
Think about Moroni.
Not the statue on top of a temple.
The man.
He watched his entire civilization collapse.
He saw:
- war
- killing
- betrayal
- destruction
He buried his father.
He wandered alone.
You don’t go through that without it changing you.
Today we’d probably call it trauma.
Back then… they just carried it.
πΏ So What Did Moroni Do?
Here’s the part most people don’t think about.
π Moroni didn’t rebuild an army
π He didn’t organize a new system
π He didn’t double down on structure
He turned inward.
He sought the Lord.
And according to the Nemenhah records—the continuation of those northern peoples—Moroni eventually lived among a remnant who preserved sacred patterns.
Not institutions.
Patterns.
Ways of living.
Ways of healing.
Ways of listening.
πͺΆ What We Call the Medicine Wheel
Over time, that pattern became known as the Medicine Wheel.
Not “medicine” like pills.
π Medicine like healing.
It’s a way of restoring a person who has:
- seen too much
- carried too much
- lost connection
Sound familiar?
That’s most of us.
π️ Why It Exists
The Medicine Wheel exists for one reason:
π to help you hear Him again
Not someday.
Not after death.
π Now.
That’s the difference.
πΎ What It Actually Does
Instead of telling you:
“Do this, do that, check this box…”
The Wheel walks you through something deeper:
- You remember who you are
- You learn to choose again
- You learn without fear
- You soften
- You steady
- You take care of what is yours
- You offer your life back in trust
- You begin to recognize His voice
That’s the path.
That’s the “way.”
π And This Has Always Been Scriptural
This isn’t something new.
It’s something we’ve always had—but often missed.
Look at the Book of Mormon:
π 2 Nephi 32:5
“The Holy Ghost… will show unto you all things what ye should do.”
π Moroni 10:5
“By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”
And from the Bible:
π 1 Samuel 16:7
“The Lord looketh on the heart.”
This has always been about:
π learning to hear Him
π Why This Matters Today
A lot of people are trying to follow God…
but feel stuck.
They:
- go to church
- attend temple
- check boxes
And still quietly feel:
π “I don’t know if I’m really hearing Him”
The Medicine Wheel addresses that directly.
It doesn’t replace anything good.
π It restores what was missing
π️ What About the Temple?
The temple pattern is beautiful.
It teaches:
- creation
- fall
- covenant
- return
But here’s the honest truth:
π it shows the pattern
π it doesn’t always train the capacity
The Medicine Wheel helps with that part.
It helps you live it.
π₯ Moroni’s Legacy
Moroni didn’t just finish a record.
He left a way.
He taught:
π charity (see Moroni 7)
π faith, hope, and love
π the Holy Ghost
π how to know truth
And through preserved traditions in the Nemenhah teachings…
π we see how that way was lived
Not just written.

Take it slow.
This isn’t something you finish.
π It’s something you walk.
πͺΆ Final Thought
You were never meant to just follow instructions.
You were meant to:
π hear Him
π recognize His voice
π and walk with Him
Moroni learned that after everything fell apart.
And what he preserved…
still works today.
Still walking.
