🌿 The Records I Found After the Book of Mormon

(A Gentle Introduction to the Nemenhah Records)

There’s something I should probably explain.

Over the last few years…
I’ve spent a lot of time studying a collection of writings called the Nemenhah Records.

And honestly…

I never expected that.

πŸ“– It Started With the Book of Mormon

For me, everything really started with the Book of Mormon.

Not just reading it casually…

but actually slowing down enough to notice things.

Patterns.
Depth.
Layers.

Especially something called chiasmus.

Ancient mirror-pattern writing.

The more I studied it…
the harder it became for me to believe the book was simple fiction.

There was something deeper going on.

And that journey eventually led me somewhere unexpected.

πŸŒ„ Then I Found the Nemenhah Records

Years later, I came across the Nemenhah writings.

At first…

I was cautious.

Very cautious.

Because there are a lot of strange things in the world.

And honestly…
I think people should be careful.

So I didn’t just jump in and believe everything.

I tested them.

πŸͺΆ What I Was Looking For

I wasn’t looking for:

  • secret knowledge
  • a new religion
  • a movement
  • followers
  • or something to replace Jesus Christ

Actually…

my biggest question was very simple:

πŸ‘‰ “Do these writings bring me closer to Christ… or farther away?”

Because to me…
that’s the real test.

Not excitement.
Not mystery.
Not emotion.

But:

Does it produce more love?
More peace?
More humility?
More desire to follow Christ?

🌱 What I Found

What surprised me most was not the unusual history.

It was the spirit behind the teachings.

The records talked about:

  • peace
  • stewardship
  • family
  • caring for the land
  • community responsibility
  • humility
  • hearing God personally
  • preparing people inwardly
  • living closer to Christ

And strangely…

many of the themes felt very close to the deeper spirit of the Book of Mormon.

Not identical.

But familiar.

Like echoes.

🌿 Some Things Felt Ancient

Another thing caught my attention.

The writings often used patterns similar to ancient Hebrew writing styles found in scripture.

Especially chiasmus.

That doesn’t automatically prove something is true.

But it did make me slow down and pay attention.

Because ancient writers often taught through patterns…
not just direct statements.

And I kept finding those patterns over and over again.

πŸ•Š️ I’m Not Trying to Force Anyone

Now let me say something important.

I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything.

Really.

People should study carefully.
Pray carefully.
Think carefully.

And honestly…

if these writings do not bring a person closer to Jesus Christ…
then they probably aren’t helpful for that person.

That’s how I see it.

πŸŒ„ What Matters Most To Me

At the end of the day…

the Nemenhah writings are not the center of my faith.

Jesus Christ is.

Always.

If anything has value…
it should help us:

  • become more loving
  • become more peaceful
  • hear His voice more clearly
  • and walk with Him more honestly

That’s the part that matters to me.

And that’s why I’ve continued studying them.

Not because I need something sensational.

But because some of the teachings have genuinely helped me become softer…
more peaceful…
and more focused on Christ.

And honestly…

in this world…

that feels pretty valuable.
