๐Ÿ“š So You Found the Nemenhah Records — Now What?

๐Ÿ“š So You Found the Nemenhah Records — Now What?

๐Ÿชถ A Simple Guide for New Readers

A lot of people have been finding their way to the Nemenhah Records lately.

Some come through chiasmus. Some through the Book of Mormon. Some through dreams. Some through curiosity.

And honestly…

most people probably feel the same thing at first:

“Where do I even start?”

I understand that feeling.

The records are large. The names are unfamiliar. The teachings are deep. And there are a LOT of books.

So let me just speak plainly for a minute.

๐ŸŒฟ First — Don’t Panic

You do NOT have to understand everything immediately.

You do not need to memorize strange names. You do not need to agree with every idea instantly. You do not need to force yourself into anything.

Just breathe.

Read slowly.

The same way people slowly walk into a forest.

One step at a time.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Don’t Read It Like a Checklist

One mistake people make with scripture is trying to “master” it too quickly.

But these records feel different when you approach them quietly.

Instead of asking:

“Can I prove this?”

Try asking:

“What does this lead me toward?”

Does it lead you toward:

  • more love?
  • more peace?
  • more humility?
  • more stewardship?
  • more connection to Christ?
  • more awareness of creation?
  • more desire to hear God personally?

That matters.

๐ŸŒ„ Start With What Feels Alive

You do NOT need to start at page one and grind through every page.

Sometimes a single passage will speak deeply to someone.

Sometimes a teaching about family. Sometimes a teaching about Zion. Sometimes a teaching about hearing the Peacemaker. Sometimes the Medicine Wheel. Sometimes the Four Pillars.

That’s okay.

Follow what feels alive.

๐Ÿ“– The Way I Would Personally Begin

If I were introducing someone gently to the Nemenhah for the first time…

I would probably suggest:

๐ŸŒฑ Step 1 — Read the Teachings About Christ

Start with the parts that draw you toward the Savior.

Not controversy. Not hidden mysteries. Not debates.

Christ first.

Always.

๐Ÿชถ Step 2 — Read Slowly

Don’t binge it.

Read a little. Sit with it. Think about it. Pray. Walk. Come back later.

These records seem to open more like relationships than textbooks.

๐ŸŒพ Step 3 — Watch for Patterns

One thing that surprised me was how many ancient patterns appear in these writings.

Chiasmus. Mirror structures. Repeated covenant patterns. Sacred directions. Temple symbolism. Consecration.

The more I studied…

the more the records started feeling ancient in structure.

Not just in story.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Step 4 — Don’t Turn It Into a Religion

This is important.

People have a tendency to immediately build camps.

Teams. Arguments. Movements.

But one of the strongest feelings I personally get from the records is this:

The point is not creating another institution.

The point is becoming better human beings.

Better fathers. Better mothers. Better neighbors. Better stewards. Better followers of Christ.

๐ŸŒฟ Step 5 — Let It Change Your Heart Before Your Theology

I think this matters.

Sometimes people become obsessed with proving things.

But honestly…

the deeper question may be:

“What kind of person is this making me?”

Because real spiritual things usually soften people.

Not inflate them.

๐Ÿงญ A Better Way to Explore the Blog

Right now there are hundreds of posts on this blog.

That can feel overwhelming.

So here’s what I would recommend.

Use the ๐Ÿ” magnifying glass search at the top of the blog.

Then search simple topics like:

  • Christ
  • Zion
  • Chiasmus
  • Four Pillars
  • Consecration
  • Talking Feather
  • Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn
  • Medicine Wheel
  • Stewardship
  • Voice
  • Peacemaker

That will help you find paths instead of random posts.

๐ŸŒ… Final Thought

I don’t expect everyone to agree with everything here.

And honestly…

that’s okay.

I’m not trying to force anyone.

I’m simply sharing the journey.

The patterns. The questions. The beauty. The things that helped me slow down and think more deeply about Christ, creation, stewardship, peace, and Zion.

Take what brings light. Leave what doesn’t. Pray about all of it.

And most of all…

keep walking with Jesus.

Because if these records do anything valuable at all…

they should help people draw closer to Him.

—and farther away from fear, pride, anger, and control.

That’s the real test.

๐Ÿชถ Why the Nemenhah Words Feel Strange at First

(But Become Beautiful Over Time)

When most people first open the Nemenhah Records…

they hit a wall.

Not because of the teachings.

Not because of the Spirit.

But because of the words.

๐ŸŒฟ The First Reaction
At first you see names like:

Ayahtsuhway Sahnhehmpeht

Haymehnay

Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn

Aylohhihm

Pehli

Kohhaht

And your brain immediately says:

“I can’t read this.”

I understand that feeling.

Honestly…

I had it too.

Most of us did.

๐Ÿงญ But Then Something Changes
After awhile…

you begin to realize something important.

These words are not nearly as complicated as they first appear.

In fact…

many of them are simply sacred names or titles for things you already understand.

๐ŸŒ„ For Example

๐Ÿชถ Ayahtsuhway Sahnhehmpeht = Jesus Christ, the Peacemaker

๐Ÿ•Š️ Haymehnay = Holy Ghost / Sacred Spirit

๐ŸŒŽ Aylohhihm = Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother

⛺ Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn = sacred temple teachings and covenants

๐Ÿ”️ Tuhhuhlnuhmtsipi = Holy House / Temple

๐Ÿ”ฅ Itsipi = baptism

๐Ÿชถ Miohkahts = Talking Feather

๐ŸŒฟ Nemenhah = Peace and Truth

Suddenly…

the words stop feeling foreign.

And they begin feeling sacred.

๐Ÿ“œ It’s Really No Different Than Scripture
Think about the Bible for a moment.

We use words like:

Hosanna

Hallelujah

Messiah

Jehovah

Elohim

Amen

Those were once foreign words too.

And the Book of Mormon is filled with names we had never heard before:

Nephi

Moroni

Zarahemla

Coriantumr

But over time…

those names became precious to us.

Why?

Because the Spirit attached meaning to them.

And I think that’s exactly what happens with the Nemenhah words too.

๐ŸŒฟ At First You Translate Them
At first…

you read a word and immediately convert it in your head.

“Ayahtsuhway means Jesus.”

“Haymehnay means Holy Ghost.”

But after awhile…

you stop translating.

And you simply feel them.

That’s the interesting part.

The words begin carrying emotion.

Memory.

Sacred association.

A kind of spiritual texture.

And eventually…

they stop sounding strange at all.

They start sounding beautiful.

๐Ÿชถ Don’t Let the Words Stop You
So if you’re brand new to the Nemenhah Records…

don’t panic over the vocabulary.

You do not need to master every word immediately.

Honestly…

I still don’t know all the words either.

And that’s okay.

You learn them naturally over time.

Just like learning scripture names.

Just like learning a family language.

Just like learning sacred things anywhere else.

๐ŸŒ… What Matters Most
The important thing is not pronunciation.

The important thing is the Spirit.

Do the teachings bring you closer to Jesus Christ?

Do they soften your heart?

Do they increase peace?

Do they make you want to love people more?

That’s the real test.

Not whether you can perfectly pronounce Tuhhuhlnuhmtsipi on the first try.

๐Ÿ˜Š And honestly…

most of us probably can’t.

๐Ÿชถ One Last Thought
Something funny happened to me over time.

The words I once struggled with…

became the very words I now love most.

Because now when I hear them…

I don’t just hear syllables.

I hear meanings.

I hear covenants.

I hear sacred memories.

I hear peace.

And maybe that’s part of the journey too.
