70 ๐Ÿ•Š️ The Miracle Wasn’t the Light

๐Ÿชถ It Was the Surrender

There was a time in my life when I thought the goal was to see more.

To pierce the veil.

To feel something overwhelming.

To experience something undeniable.

Back in 1971, I had a moment I will never forget.

It felt like light surrounded me.

Love filled every part of me.

Peace settled deep.

Heaven didn’t feel far away.

It felt near.

I didn’t resist it.

I didn’t manufacture it.

I wasn’t trying to impress anyone.

I was simply open.

And for years, I believed that was the miracle.

The light.

The love.

The closeness.

But recently, something deeper settled in my heart.

The miracle wasn’t the light.

The miracle was what happened right before it.

Surrender.

Not dramatic surrender.

Not public surrender.

Just inward release.

I wasn’t bargaining.

I wasn’t proving.

I wasn’t trying to earn heaven.

I simply yielded.

And when the yielding happened…

fear left.

Striving left.

Control loosened.

And what remained was light.

๐Ÿ“– Scripture Has Always Shown This Pattern

The Brother of Jared did not see the Lord because he demanded a sign.

He saw the Lord because he could not be kept from Him
(Ether 3).

Moses longed for all Israel to see God
(Numbers 11:29).

Joseph Smith taught that men and women could know God personally.

But none of those moments began with spectacle.

They began with humility.

With broken hearts.

With yielded wills.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart.” — Proverbs 3:5

“Did I not speak peace to your mind?” — Doctrine & Covenants 6:23

Peace precedes clarity.

Surrender precedes light.

Stillness precedes manifestation.

๐ŸŒ… Seeing Is Not the Goal

For years, I thought seeing was the goal.

Piercing the veil.

Feeling heaven open.

Experiencing something undeniable.

But I’ve come to understand something gentler.

Seeing is not the goal.

Union is.

You don’t force union.

You don’t manufacture it.

You don’t climb high enough to earn it.

You surrender into it.

Light.

Love.

Peace.

Oneness.

These are gifts.

But surrender is the doorway.

And surrender is available to everyone.

No special objects required.

No special position required.

No dramatic setting required.

Just a willing heart.

Walking.

Asking.

Receiving.

Trusting.

๐Ÿคฒ What Surrender Actually Is

Surrender is not quitting.

It is not passivity.

It is not laziness.

It is the release of control.

The release of the need to prove.

The release of the pressure to produce.

It is saying:

“Lord, You lead.”

And meaning it.

When surrender comes,

fear loosens.

Ambition softens.

Comparison fades.

Peace settles.

๐Ÿ•Š️ The Quiet Truth

Today, I don’t feel the need to chase the veil.

If He wants to thin it, He will.

If He wants to remain quiet, He will.

My part is simple.

Yield.

Stay soft.

Stay humble.

Stay near.

You don’t have to see everything to be with Him.

You don’t have to feel lightning to be loved.

You don’t have to prove anything to be accepted.

Sometimes the deepest miracles happen

when nothing dramatic happens at all.

Just surrender.

And peace.

And that…

is enough.
