The Prayer That Confirmed the Pattern

The Prayer That Confirmed the Pattern

(Hidden Patterns in Scripture Series)

🧭 Opening

In the last few videos we’ve been talking about something called chiasmus.

A mirror pattern that appears in many ancient writings.

I first noticed it while reading the Book of Mormon.

At the time I didn’t know much about it.

I was just reading… and something started catching my attention.

Certain ideas would appear, then repeat later in reverse order.

At first I thought it might just be coincidence.

But the more I looked, the harder that was to believe.

πŸ“œ The Moment

I remember sitting there looking at the verses thinking:

“Whoa… this can’t be coincidence.”

It wasn’t just one example.

It showed up again.

And again.

And again.

The pattern was too clear.

πŸ™ The Prayer

So I did what a lot of people do when they’re trying to figure something out spiritually.

I prayed.

Not a long prayer.

Just a simple one.

Something like:

“Lord… am I seeing this right?”

“Is this really what I think it is?”

πŸŒ… The Light

After that prayer I experienced something that’s a little hard to explain.

The best way I can describe it is light.

Not like turning on a lamp.

More like a moment of clarity and peace that filled the room.

The feeling was calm.

Quiet.

But very real.

And the impression that came with it was simple.

Keep studying.

There’s more here than you realize.

πŸͺΆ A Talking Feather Thought

I don’t share experiences like that very often.

Not because they’re secret.

But because sacred things usually deserve a little respect and quiet.

For me that moment didn’t answer every question.

But it gave me confidence to keep searching.

And over the years I’ve continued finding these patterns in scripture.

🌿 What It Meant to Me

That experience didn’t make me feel like I had everything figured out.

It just gave me a sense that scripture might be deeper than I had realized.

That sometimes the Lord leaves little hints.

Little treasures.

For those willing to look closely.

πŸŒ„ The Invitation

If you’re someone who studies scripture, you might try something interesting.

Slow down when you read.

Look at the patterns.

Notice the way ideas repeat.

Sometimes the structure of the writing can reveal the message in a whole new way.
