Video 90 The Records I Found After the Book of Mormon
The Records I Found After the Book of Mormon
(Hidden Patterns in Scripture Series)
๐งญ Opening
Over the last several videos we’ve been talking about chiasmus.
Those mirror patterns that appear in ancient scripture.
My own journey into those patterns really began with the Book of Mormon.
That book opened my eyes.
It led to one of those moments where I sat back and thought:
“Whoa… this can’t be coincidence.”
But something interesting happened after that.
Years later I came across another collection of writings called the Nemenhah Records.
And when I began studying those… things got even more interesting.
๐ Who Were the Nemenhah?
The Nemenhah writings describe a people sometimes called the People of Peace.
Their traditions speak about living in harmony with the Creator, the land, and one another.
The records contain teachings about:
stewardship
community life
sacred ceremonies
and the path toward Zion-like societies.
But what caught my attention was how often the writings seemed to connect with the world of the Book of Mormon.
๐ฟ Connections to the Nephite Story
For example, the Nemenhah records speak about a figure known as Mohrhohnahyah.
Many readers recognize that name as a form of Moroni.
The story describes him continuing to live among the people after the great destruction of the Nephite civilization.
When you read his teachings in the Nemenhah writings, something feels very familiar.
The voice.
The warnings.
The spiritual tone.
It feels like the same Moroni who finished the Book of Mormon record.
๐ Other Familiar Names
There are other interesting connections as well.
The records describe the story of Tsi Tuhgohhah and Pah Hehmehntah.
Many readers recognize those names as corresponding to Corianton and Isabel from the Book of Mormon.
Their descendants eventually include a teacher known as Tsi Muhayl, who many associate with the prophetic voice of Samuel the Lamanite.
When I first noticed those connections, it caught my attention.
But what really surprised me came next.
✨ The Chiasmus Discovery
By this time I had already spent years studying chiasmus in scripture.
So naturally I started looking for those patterns in the Nemenhah writings.
And that’s when I had another one of those moments.
Not just a small example.
Not just a few verses.
Entire passages seemed to be structured that way.
Sometimes whole sections mirrored themselves.
Sometimes entire teachings were built around a center message.
And I remember thinking:
“This is unbelievable.”
๐ชถ A Talking Feather Thought
Now I’m not here to tell anyone what they must believe about these records.
Everyone should study and decide for themselves.
But for me, the experience of reading these writings felt similar to the first time I discovered chiasmus in the Book of Mormon.
It made me slow down.
Look closer.
And search a little deeper.
๐ The Journey Continues
One particular book in the Nemenhah writings caught my attention more than any other.
It’s called:
The Lamentation of Mehnipahsihts.
When I started examining the structure of that book… something remarkable appeared.
It looked like the entire record was arranged in a mirror pattern.
Dozens of chapters.
All pointing toward a central teaching.
That discovery became one of the most fascinating things I’ve ever studied.
And that’s what we’ll look at next.
