Where’s Zion

🧱 Zion Won’t Come from Headquarters

We’ve built a lot of things.

Temples with chandeliers.
Manuals with footnotes.
Hierarchies with handbooks.

But I have to ask...

Where’s Zion?

That city with no poor among them.
That people of one heart and one mind.
That place where Christ walks among us—not just metaphorically, but literally?

I’ve heard leaders say we’re building it.
But I’ve looked around… and I’m not so sure.

πŸ—️ The Blueprint Hasn’t Changed

Zion doesn’t come from the top down.

It never did.

God gave us the pattern in 3 Nephi and in the Nemenhah.
He gave it through EnochMelchizedek, and Moroni.

And the pattern never once involved:

  • A worldwide brand

  • A billion-dollar portfolio

  • Or remote leadership from an ivory tower

Instead, it always started with people—humble people—being born again.
Being filled with the Spirit.
Living with no hierarchy but the Lord.

πŸ“œ The Book of Mormon Told Us This

“And there were no contentions and disputations among them… and surely there could not be a happier people.”
—4 Nephi 1:15–16

They didn’t vote in a new president.
They didn’t file for 501(c)(3) status.
They didn’t even need a building fund.

They had Christ.

That was enough.

πŸͺΆ What the Nemenhah Remembered

“For Zion is not raised up by the command of men, neither is it maintained by decree or by tax. But it is born in the hearts of the sanctified and grows up quietly, like a garden.”
—Book of Shi-Tugohah

When the Nemenhah wanted to find Zion, they didn’t hold a committee meeting.
They consecrated their lives.
They listened for the Peacemaker.
And they walked with Him.

That was their only strategy.

And it worked.

🧱 So Where Is It Now?

Zion isn’t at headquarters.

It’s not on a spreadsheet in Salt Lake.

It’s in the wilderness.
In a living room.
In the heart of a single believer who’s finally ready to give up Babylon for good.

🌾 My Invitation to You

Stop waiting for someone else to build it.

Start living it.
Start consecrating.
Start forgiving.
Start loving.

That’s the foundation.

And when two or three are gathered in His name—He will come.

πŸ”” Final Thought

I used to think I had to wait on the Church.

Now I know—I was supposed to wait on the Lord.

And He’s not behind a desk.

He’s on the move.

Be Holy, Godfrey. Be the brick and the fire. Be Zion.
