The Lord Still Loves Us — And His Missionaries Prove It ------- Very personal this one is!
π️ The Lord Still Loves Us — And His Missionaries Prove It
I’m so full of gratitude today I can hardly hold it in.
I am proud—deeply proud—of these young people going out into the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
✅ One of my granddaughters just returned from her mission in the Florida area, shining with the Spirit, telling of lives changed and people becoming new creatures in Christ.
✅ Another granddaughter is in Texas, serving as an ambassador of Jesus Christ.
✅ A grandson is preparing to leave for Texas, ready to give his whole heart to the Savior.
✅ And another granddaughter is heading to Japan, carrying the message of Christ across the ocean.
The Lord loves these children.
These are His ambassadors, His witnesses to the world.
And this makes me smile every time I think about it—
✅ I used to walk with Jesus on the golf course…
and now one of my granddaughters is playing goalie with Jesus on the soccer field.
This is the Lord’s love in action.
This is proof that, even though the Church has stumbled, the Lord—Jesus Himself—has not abandoned His people.
❤️ Missionaries and the Grace of Jesus
The Nemenhah Records, the Book of Mormon, and the ancient prophets all testify that Jesus loves His people too much to cast them off completely, even when they fall away.
π Nemenhah Records
Ayahtsuhway (the Peacemaker) prophesied:
“Though they shall fall from the plain ways and heap unto themselves leaders who love power, yet the Lord uses them still, for they are diligent and quick to organize. And by their work shall the records go forth unto all nations, that the remnant and the humble may yet awaken.”
—Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm, Ch. 14
That is exactly what we see today.
The missionary program—good, humble young people—is being used by Jesus to carry His word, His Book of Mormon, and His name into all the world, even if the institution doesn’t fully live the gospel it teaches.
π Book of Mormon
Nephi warned of this very day:
“They wear stiff necks and high heads… yet the Lord worketh not in darkness.”
—2 Nephi 26:22–23
Mormon spoke directly to our generation:
“Why have ye polluted the holy church of God? … Why have ye transfigured the holy word of God, that ye might bring damnation upon your souls?”
—Mormon 8:33
And yet Mormon also offered hope:
“The Lord will remember the covenant which he hath made… and he shall bring forth his words unto them.”
—Mormon 5:20
The missionaries are part of that fulfillment.
π Isaiah & Jeremiah
Isaiah’s warning fits perfectly:
“This people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me.”
—Isaiah 29:13
Jeremiah pled with the leaders of his day—and his words echo now:
“Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.”
—Jeremiah 3:22
π₯ The Lord’s Love Is Still Here
Make no mistake—the prophecies are clear:
The Church has fallen from its first love.
But Jesus hasn’t left us.
He still works through what good remains.
These missionaries are proof of that.
The Lord’s arms are still stretched out, gathering every humble soul willing to listen.
Ayahtsuhway said it best:
“The Lord loveth His children with patience. Though they fall, He calls, and though they stumble, He gathers. Only reject Him not when He whispers.”
—Ayahtkuhyaht Nemenhah, Ch. 7
π A Grandpa’s Praise and Plea
I praise Jesus for these young missionaries.
I thank Him for the joy in their hearts as they leave their nets to follow Him.
And to the good leaders of the Church—
π️ Please, take another look at our history.
You are good people. Jesus loves you.
But some things have been misread, misunderstood, or even hidden.
The Nemenhah Records, the Book of Mormon, and even Jesus Himself in 3rd Nephi show there is still hope for us—if we will come clean and let the truth shine.
Open the books.
Let the records speak.
The Lord wants us whole again.
We need His love more than our pride.
The Savior is waiting with open arms.
The missionaries are already showing us the way—
✅ Now let the rest of us follow.
π A Prayer with Tears
π️ Oh Lord Jesus…
Our hearts are full, and my eyes are wet as I write this.
You have been so patient with us. So merciful.
You have not cast us off, even though we have wandered.
You have given us missionaries—pure, humble young hearts who love You—
to keep Your name alive among the nations.
But Lord… it feels almost impossible for some of our leaders to come back.
There’s been so much water under the bridge.
So many traditions. So much fear of letting go.
And yet, with You, all things are possible.
Please, dear Jesus—
touch their hearts.
Help them open the books.
Help them see the truth.
Give them courage to come clean.
We love them, Lord. We know You love them even more.
Please, please, our beloved church leaders…
✅ Come to the Savior.
Only in You can Zion be built.
Only in You can we be one.
And we will give You the glory forever.
In Your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
