“Three Perils and the Hand of God”

Some visions are for the man who receives them.
Some are for the generation he leads.
And some… are for the final generation who will see them fulfilled.
At Valley Forge in the bitter winter of 1777, George Washington—cold, tired, and desperate—knelt in the snow to pray. He didn’t just ask for warmth. He asked for the survival of a dream: a free nation under God.
That day, Heaven answered with more than comfort. Heaven gave him a prophecy.
1️⃣ The First Peril – Birth in the Fire
Washington saw a dark cloud rise from Europe and sweep over the new land. Lightning flashed. Groans filled the air. This was the Revolutionary War—a battle for the nation’s very existence.
π¬ “Son of the Republic, look and learn.”
Against all odds, the cloud rolled back. A nation was born.
2️⃣ The Second Peril – Brother Against Brother
The vision shifted. The angel turned south, and from Africa came a dark specter. The people of America turned their weapons on each other.
This was the Civil War—the Union tearing itself apart.
But then a bright angel bearing the word UNION stood between them:
π¬ “Remember, you are brethren.”
The fighting ceased. The nation was stitched back together—scarred, but still standing.
3️⃣ The Third Peril – The Most Fearful
Washington then saw black clouds from Europe, Asia, and Africa merge into one—filled with armies, fire, and death. They crossed the seas and swept over America, destroying cities and towns from coast to coast.
The nation was almost crushed. Almost.
Then—
π₯ A light like a thousand suns broke the clouds.
π₯ Heavenly armies descended.
π₯ The invaders fled.
The Covenant Promise
The angel planted the American flag and cried:
π¬ “While the stars remain, and the heaven sends down dew upon the earth, so long shall the UNION last.”
Then came the warning:
π¬ “Three great perils will come upon the Republic… The whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land, and UNION.”
π️ What This Means for Us
This isn’t just about America’s survival—it’s about God’s intervention.
The Book of Mormon calls this land a choice land above all others—but only if its people serve the God of the land (Ether 2:12).
The Nemenhah Records echo the same truth: the Lord preserves nations that remember Him, but withdraws His protection when they turn to pride, oppression, and war.
We are living between the Second and Third Perils.
The final one will test everything—our faith, our unity, and our willingness to fight for both.
π₯ A Call to Prepare
Live for God – Not just in name, but in obedience to His voice.
Stand for Truth – Even when your neighbors mock you.
Love Your Brethren – Without unity, the nation crumbles from within before any enemy strikes from without.
