๐Ÿ”ฅ The Boy Prophet Hayihnmeht: Lessons for Our Day

A Combined Reflection on Chapters One and Two

๐Ÿง‘‍๐Ÿ’ผ Seventeen Years Old
A teenager stood in his mother’s place and wrote words meant for us. Maybe that’s the Lord’s way — using the weak to confound the mighty.

๐ŸŒพ Lesson 1: Consecration is Zion

“No man fattened himself while his neighbor starved” (Hayihnmeht 1).
“They had all things common among them” (4 Nephi 1:3).

๐Ÿ•Š️ Lesson 2: Humility is Refuge

“Make of yourselves friends of they who worship wealth” (Hayihnmeht 2:11).
“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you” (Matthew 5:44).

⚖️ Lesson 3: Don’t Boast of Spiritual Things

“Rarely does the Peacemaker command one to reveal that their election is sure” (Hayihnmeht 2:25).
“Boast not… but let thy boast be in the Lord” (Alma 26:12).

๐Ÿ”‘ Lesson 4: Salvation Belongs to God Alone

“The power to seal is had by the Holy Spirit of Promise alone” (Hayihnmeht 2:36).
“Salvation is free” (2 Nephi 2:4).

๐ŸŒ„ A Final Witness

“When you read these things, you shall know that it is you of whom I speak and take comfort” (Hayihnmeht 2:41).

✍️ My Reflection
Hayihnmeht gives us a roadmap:

  • Come out of Babylon through consecration.

  • Stay harmless and humble.

  • Trust God, not men, for sealing and salvation.

That is how Zion will rise again.
