๐Ÿชถ The Great White Chief — A Hidden Remnant & The Branch of Joseph

Every so often, a story surfaces that refuses to die.
Passed hand to hand. Whispered campfire to campfire.
Never canonized, never correlated—yet burning with prophecy.

That’s The Great White Chief.

๐Ÿ“œ First published in 1960, republished quietly in 1971, it claims to be the record of two Navajo-blooded explorers who stumbled upon a hidden people in Central America during the 1930s.

They weren’t ordinary Indians. They were called the Chigaraguans—a nation clothed in white, living in harmony, and led by a man they called:

Echa Tah Echa Nah. The Mighty and Wise One. The Branch.

๐ŸŒฟ Foretold in Scripture

The Book of Mormon foresaw him:

“A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins… and his name shall be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father.” (2 Nephi 3:6, 15)

Nephi promised that Joseph’s seed would never perish:

“For the things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the seed of my brother Joseph.” (2 Nephi 25:21–22)

Christ Himself warned the Gentiles that:

“The Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come to the knowledge of the fulness of my gospel.” (3 Nephi 16:12)

And the Nemenhah Records add their voice:

“Wherefore, the Lord did hide up the remnant of His people… that they might rise up in the last days and be an ensign unto all nations.” (Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm, Ch. 13)

“The Gentiles shall build up many churches… but they shall deny the power thereof. Then shall the Lord cause the remnant to remember their covenants, and Zion shall be built by their hand.” (Book of Mohrhohnahyah, Ch. 4)

The Great White Chief account simply echoes what these records already declared: the remnant has been preserved, with records, priesthood, and authority, waiting for the last days.

๐Ÿ“– Part 1 — First Contact

✨ Theme: Fulfillment of 2 Nephi 25 — Joseph’s seed preserved, records hidden.

๐Ÿ“– Part 2 — The Sacred Library

✨ Theme: Matches the sealed records prophecy (Ether 4, 2 Nephi 27).

๐Ÿ“– Part 3 — Zion Rites

✨ Theme: Nemenhah agrees — “The Lord did establish Zion among them… and they had no poor among them” (Book of Hahgohtl, Ch. 3).

๐Ÿ“– Part 4 — Warnings to the Gentiles

  • The Chief warns: Gentile churches are corrupt, built on priestcraft.

  • Joseph Smith was a prophet, but his work was cut short.

  • Authority belongs with the remnant, not with Gentiles.

✨ Theme: 3 Nephi 16:10–12 — Gentiles stumble, lose the fullness, and the remnant rises.
Nemenhah concurs: “Behold, the Gentiles shall esteem themselves as wise… yet they know not the God of Israel. The Lord shall turn to His covenant people.” (Book of Mohrhohnahyah, Ch. 8).

๐Ÿ“– Part 5 — The Hidden Purpose

  • The Chief explains: they were preserved in isolation for a future mission.

  • Prophecies speak of destruction on the wicked and redemption through Joseph’s remnant.

  • Their authority is directly from heaven, not from men.

✨ Theme: 2 Nephi 3:24 — “A branch shall be broken off… and they shall be remembered in the covenants of the Lord.”
Nemenhah confirms: “The Lord hid us up that we might come forth in the last days… to redeem His people and to build Zion.” (Book of Tsihmlayi, Ch. 2).

๐Ÿ“– Part 6 — The Final Blessing

  • The Chief blesses the explorers, prophesying that one day outsiders will return — not to conquer, but to covenant.

  • The Day of Purification is near, when Zion will be established.

  • The explorers leave, bearing witness of this hidden people.

✨ Theme: D&C 133:32–34 — “The remnant shall be gathered, and Zion shall be established.”

๐Ÿ”ฅ Why This Matters

If true, this account is not fantasy. It’s a second witness:

  • Zion won’t rise through Gentile wealth and temples, but through the remnant of Joseph.

  • The sealed records won’t come from Salt Lake, but from hidden libraries guarded for millennia.

  • Authority will return to Israel, just as Christ, Nephi, and Moroni all prophesied.

The Nemenhah Records and the Book of Mormon stand side by side, saying: this is exactly what we told you to expect.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ Walking Forward

So—fiction, folklore, or prophecy fulfilled?

Maybe all three. But what can’t be ignored is how directly it lines up with the scriptures.

When Nephi said: “His name shall be Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father”… maybe he wasn’t only talking about Palmyra.

The Branch may yet be alive, hidden, preserved for the day when Zion must rise.

The only question is—
๐Ÿ‘‰ when he steps out of the shadows, will we recognize him?

I’ve read this twice since you sent me the link and found it very interesting and believable . I used to attend Jack West lectures that discussed the topic of white tribes of Indigenous people that were discovered in the Americas . Other people have had similar experiences though perhaps not to this degree . The book is really worth reading. CH ๐Ÿ˜Š
