❓ Is the LDS Church the Only True Church on the Face of the Earth?
❓ Is the LDS Church the Only True Church on the Face of the Earth?
π₯ Charlie Kirk’s Farewell — And the Question of the “Only True Church”
π―️ A Funeral That Felt Like Church
Not long ago, I sat with many others watching the commemoration of Charlie Kirk’s life. More than one person told me afterward: “That was the best church meeting I’ve ever been to.” No program, no handbook—just raw testimony of a man who stood for truth. It made me stop and think: maybe this is what the Lord meant by “my church” being those who come unto Him (D&C 10:67–69).
It wasn’t about an institution. It was about Christ living in people.
❓ So… Is the LDS Church the Only True Church?
We’ve all heard it since Primary: “I know the Church is true.” But what do we even mean? Is it like saying, “my country is the only true country” or “my school is the only true school”? That rings hollow.
The Book of Mormon itself warns against prideful exclusivity:
“Behold, there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil” (1 Nephi 14:10).
That’s not denominations—it’s hearts. You’re either building Zion or building Babylon.
The Nemenhah Records echo the same: ⚠ THEME ONLY
The Lord still worked through a cracked vessel to scatter His book,
But the “true” Refuge was the remnant who lived clean, humble, and full of love.
π Truth Is Bigger Than Our Walls
Think of the old parable: six blind men each grab part of an elephant. One says it’s a rope, another says a wall, another a fan. All wrong, but all partly right. That’s us with religion.
Christ said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
Truth isn’t locked in an organization—it’s a Person. His Spirit breathes in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and yes, even the words of the humble in other folds (2 Nephi 29:7–8).
π Scriptures to Hold Onto
Bible — “That they all may be one… that the world may believe” (John 17:21).
Book of Mormon — “The Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil” (Moroni 7:16).
Doctrine & Covenants — “Whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me, the same is my church” (D&C 10:67).
Nemenhah (theme) — Zion isn’t built by many temples but by clean hands and pure hearts, men and women walking together.
π️ Losing to Gain
Jesus said, “He that loseth his life for my sake shall find it” (Matthew 10:39). The same goes for our testimonies. Sometimes we have to let go of being “right” so we can finally be filled with His light. A faith that fears other books, other voices, or other people’s experiences—how strong is that faith?
The real test isn’t whether you can say “the Church is true”. It’s whether you can say, like Charlie’s friends did at his funeral: “Christ lived in him.”
π My Testimony
I don’t believe the LDS Church is the only true church. I believe it is a true work—a vehicle raised by God to scatter scripture, gather people, and invite us toward Zion. But so are other works He raises up.
What’s true is Christ’s voice. What’s false is pride that walls Him off.
Like the Nemenhah mothers taught ⚠ THEME ONLY: Zion isn’t in the towers of men but in the homes and hearts where love governs.
✨ The Point
Charlie Kirk’s farewell felt like church because Christ was at the center. Isn’t that the whole point? Not robes, not titles, not brands—but the Voice.
So let’s stop asking, “Is my church the only true church?” and start asking, “Am I hearing His voice—and am I loving like Him?”
That’s Zion. That’s truth.
