✨ The Christ Test: Nemenhah Records & Book of Mormon — Four Witnesses, One Voice ✨

👣 “Does it draw me closer to Jesus?”
That’s the question. The Christ Test.
Not “Does it sound familiar?” or “Does it fit the institution?”
But: Does this record lead me to Him? 🕊️

Over the years, I’ve poured over the Book of Mormon—especially the early, fiery restoration chapters—and the Nemenhah Records, those Native American testimonies of the Peacemaker preserved on kirlis sheets and stone. 📜

This post isn’t about replacing one with the other.
It’s about holding them up to the same light—the light of Christ Himself—and seeing how they harmonize. ✨

Let’s walk through the Four Christ Test Dimensions together:

1️⃣ Direct Focus on Jesus Christ 🙌

“And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ… this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved…” — 2 Nephi 31:21

The Book of Mormon is relentless in its focus. From Nephi to Alma to Moroni, every prophet’s voice converges on the Messiah.
They preach His name, prophesy His coming, and rejoice in His personal ministry among them (3 Nephi 11).

The Nemenhah Records echo this chorus. Again and again, they speak of Ayahtsuhway, the Peacemaker — not as some distant figure, but as the Living One who visits, teaches, heals, and commissions.
They record translated ministers who tarry until He comes again. They teach their children to seek His voice, not merely rituals or councils.

“Teach your little ones to seek the Peacemaker’s commission and the Haymehnay’s confirmation, and He will write the record of heaven into their souls.” — Mohmeht Ahkehkt 3 🕊️

Both records are Christ-centered.
Both place the person of Jesus, not the structure of religion, at the center.
✅ Christ Test passed.

2️⃣ Doctrine of Christ Alignment 🌊🔥

If there’s one unifying thread that cannot be faked, it’s the Doctrine of Christ:
👉 Faith in Him
👉 Repentance
👉 Baptism
👉 Gift of the Holy Ghost
👉 Enduring to the end, even to seeing His face (2 Nephi 32:6)

The Book of Mormon lays this out beautifully (2 Nephi 31–32).
Nephi teaches plainly: this is the path. Not a checklist, but a living covenant walk.

The Nemenhah Records match it point for point:

  • Baptism is performed by immersion, accompanied by triple clapping and sacred prayer.

  • Repentance is treated as joyful purification, often with sweat-lodge offerings.

  • The Haymehnay (Holy Spirit of Promise) is the sealer, bearing personal witness of divine acceptance.

  • And their ultimate aim? The Peacemaker’s personal commission—the Second Comforter.

“Retain purity by baptism, fasting, prayer, Itsipi, and right living; honor the Sacrament, token of the New and Everlasting Covenant.” — Mohmeht Ahkehkt 3

They even teach their children to seek this early—as soon as they reach the “age of agency” (~16).
The Doctrine of Christ isn’t institutionalized; it’s lived.

✅ Christ Test passed again.

3️⃣ Spiritual Fruits 🍇💛

Moroni 7 gives us the clearest checklist of spiritual fruit:

“Every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ.” — Moroni 7:13

The Book of Mormon fruits: humility, charity, spiritual gifts, personal revelation. Entire communities converted, miracles worked, Zion-like societies formed (4 Nephi). ✨

The Nemenhah fruits: Consecrated living (“all things common”), councils led by mothers, open sacred ordinances, translated ministers walking among them. Communities flourish not by force, but by love. 🌿

Their warnings are sober, too: when the people abandon consecration, pride enters, and the societies decay. The fruits rot when Christ is forgotten.

In both records, the test fruits are unmistakable:

  • Closer walk with Jesus

  • Greater love among people

  • Increase of spiritual gifts

  • Communal holiness

✅ Christ Test fruit inspection: passed with joy.

4️⃣ Warnings vs. Institutional Drift ⚠️👑

Here’s where things get prophetic… and uncomfortable.

The Book of Mormon warns the Gentiles (that’s us) bluntly:

“Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted… they rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries…” — 2 Nephi 28:12–13

It foretells Gentile rejection of the fulness (3 Nephi 16) and warns us not to “say, All is well in Zion.” 🫣

The Nemenhah Records name the pattern clearly:

  • Future Nemenhah descendants will abandon consecration.

  • They will cling to forms, neglect the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn (temple training of spiritual senses).

  • They will follow robes instead of the Voice (Lehi’s dream, anyone?).

  • And yet—God will use their industriousness to preserve records, build cities, and prepare the way for a latter-day restoration. (Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm 14)

The warnings align perfectly, like two halves of the same trumpet blast. 📯

✅ Christ Test on warnings: passed with piercing clarity.

🕊️ Four Witnesses, One Voice

When I lay these records side by side—not with suspicion, but with the light of Christ—the result is breathtaking:

Christ Test DimensionBook of Mormon ✅Nemenhah Records ✅
1. Focus on Jesus🔥 Direct & personal🔥 Direct & personal
2. Doctrine of Christ🌊 Crystal clear🌿 Practiced & sealed
3. Spiritual Fruits🍇 Zion societies🌻 Consecrated living
4. Warnings vs Institutional Drift⚠️ Gentiles warned⚠️ Prophetic patterns

They speak with different accents… but the same Voice. 🕊️
They pass the Christ Test not just intellectually—but spiritually, fruitfully, prophetically.

🌄 Final Reflection

It’s not about clinging to one record and discarding the other.
It’s about recognizing that God has scattered many testimonies like seeds across the world. 🌱

And when we bring them into the light of Christ, we find not chaos…
but harmony.

“Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them.” — Matthew 7:20

The Book of Mormon.
The Nemenhah Records.
Different peoples. Same Lord. One invitation:

👉 Come unto Me. ❤️
