✨ Those Who Walk With Jesus — Part 31 ✨
To The Missionaries

📝 Their Message (Summary)
Missionary service often comes with high expectations: exciting calls, eager listeners, countless baptisms, spiritual glory. But like Naaman the leper (2 Kings 5), God often asks something humbling instead — to “wash in the Jordan” in ways we never imagined.

Naaman resisted because it wasn’t what he expected, yet his healing came only when he surrendered. Missions are the same. The place, the language, the struggles, even the disappointments — these are not mistakes. They are the rivers God chooses for us, designed to strip away pride and teach us to rely on Him.

The Tokyo, Japan mission — far from what I had dreamed — became the very thing that refined me. Every “dip” in that river peeled away self, until only Christ remained.

🔥 My Reflection
I see myself in Naaman: ready for miracles, frustrated when God gives me simplicity instead. But it is in obedience to those simple calls that the cleansing happens.

Missionary service, like life itself, is not about what we imagined. It is about becoming clean through surrender. The best mission is not the glamorous one — it is the one that brings us to Christ.

🕊️ The Invitation

  • Read 2 Kings 5:1–14 slowly. Where do you see yourself in Naaman’s story?

  • Ask: What river is God asking me to dip into right now? What pride do I need to lay down so His healing can come?

  • Pray:
“Lord, I confess I have expectations. I wanted You to work in certain ways. But I choose to surrender. Wash me, even if it’s not what I wanted, and make me clean.”
